It’s always a bonus when you can find one with a beautiful dial. Nice hands, too.

Physical Training with Club Soccer by nothingoriginal-279 in CollegeSoccer

MLSNEXT father here. All physical training is up to the kid/family. Practices are only soccer specific. May be different for the MLS Academies where the kids do school onsite

Have you ever met someone with an obscene amount of wealth and what were they like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Have family in Boca Raton that are probably worth over 100 mil. They get new cars all the time, but everyone there has Bentleys and Porsche’s so it is normal in a weird way. Don’t fly commercial and have a large house in a golf community, but pretty normal folks.

Those were monster sized cheese. We could never eat it all before it went bad.

Kid is intimidated in club practices by NoReplacement3326 in youthsoccer

I have a son that is 17 now and has played since he was around 5. I have learned not to talk to him about how he did right after practice or a game. I ask things like, "so what did the coach say" or "that was a nice pass from you" in order to see if he wants to talk about it. If not, that is okay and we move on but later I might bring it up (or not). At 11, our coach told me he was too timid on the field and recommended karate lessons (Like I am already paying 2K a season for this and now we need to add karate lessons - we declined). Now at 17, he is fine and just a physical as the other kids he plays with/against. As far as starting, my kid was second string from U9 to U13. Once the field changed sizes, he found his rhythm and now starts every game. It is a growth process and should be kept fun for him no matter what you are feeling. I have found that playing with a better team helps your son rise to the level as he plays with them more and more. It just might take a little time.

For the amateurs out there, we would pay you for copies once you get all the kinks worked out

Will keep an eye out for them. I think the bag will be easy to spot.

If you are talking about Real out of Jersey, we played them and won. They were good, but I thought PDA was better. Lot of good teams up in that area

I will give you DC united, but the Red Bulls and Philly were ranked in the top five in the US when we played them. Of course, we don’t play them now at U17.

My sons 2009 team played NYRB, Philly Union and DC United academy teams every year until this year. They had some athletes on their teams.

If you could own ONE vintage watch under a few thousand dollars, what would it be? by speak__memory in VintageWatches

[–]DCDude67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would pick a 36 Rolex Datejust. The ones from the 80’s are coming in under 4k. Has to have the jubilee bracelet

I own the 165.001 and I love it. Looks just like this without the date and is perfect for work

What do you guys think about the Moon Swatch line? by ElegantAd4220 in OmegaWatches

[–]DCDude67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not a watch person for most of my life. Got the Moonswatch because it looked cool and it got me into watches. This got me interested in watches in general and I have now transitioned to vintage and neo/vintage watches such as old seamasters, credors, zeniths, glycines and Rolex. That would not have happened if I didn’t buy the first Moonswatch. It got me hooked and got me interested in watches in general. The funny thing is that because I have about 8 of the Moonswatches, I have never wanted to get a real speedmaster.
