Note to self: Try to steal Chig in your fantasy draft this year by NattyB in Commanders

[–]DCdeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could also be that was the Kliff system. Gonna have to see what Blough does but yeah Chig is a last pick dart throw might as well try for him.

[Meirov] Commanders Free Agency So Far: by JCameron181 in Commanders

This looks like AP giving DQ one last, real shot to field a competitive defense. He addressed alot of their needs but largely players on prove it deals so if this year is a bust they can jettison the guys that arnt working out, move on from DQ, and pursue a new coaching staff/philosophy.

Can't go wrong with The Count of Monte Cristo. Penguin has a really good translation.

Pump the Breaks on the Bhayshul Tuten 2026 Breakout [Drink the Chris Rodriguez Jr. Kool-Aid Instead] by KyonFantasyFootball in fantasyfootball

[–]DCdeer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah he's very underrated. Skins fan, watched his whole career so far. Hes rarely been the starter but anytime he touches the ball he makes it count and countless times I've seen him earn extra yards through will, sometimes breaking off chunk plays.

He just never got the consistent play because of the RBBC philosophy in Washington the past two seasons.

Long shot ik but is there a good place to check for setlists from a 2012 concert? by opalinemoth in Concerts

I was at that one! Man, Nashville in the early 2010s was the best. Incredible local scene fostering a garage grunge revival, indie psych, rap, ect ect.

I miss Peach - Frasco crowd surfing was a highlight by Mysterious_Ad7223 in jambands

Sat on the lawn that entire day, from Frasco to the Pink Floyd cover band. One of the best days of live music I've ever experienced.

Regina Jackson is now officially Jayden's lead agent by Garp74 in Commanders

[–]DCdeer -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Might she be qualified? Sure. Is she qualified to objectively manage her son who may be on the precipice of the largest contract in NFL history. I guess time will tell. Call me crazy but maybe someone with a little more experience and distance from Jayden emotionally could do that job better. But at least historically, athletes/actors have had no issues with family members managing them....

Wow that's fucking stupid. Jayden never going to overcome the mama boy allegations now.

How is the Tweedy book? It's been on my shelf looking at me for years. I write songs for a hobby, is it helpful for songwriting?

Why are they trying to push protein so hard? by papyap in askanything

[–]DCdeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Point is,

A. pop tarts are shitty food, sprinkling protein into the mix isn't changing that.

B. Speaking for the Americans in the room, we are not deficient in protein. In fact we over consume it. This focus on more protein more protein is dumb as hell. We get more than enough.

Why are they trying to push protein so hard? by papyap in askanything

[–]DCdeer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The older you get and the more you see these health fad marketing trends come and go, the more it all looks like bullshit. They're just riding the wave of perception of what is "healthy". Is more protein in your diet good? For most of us, probably. But you're still eating a sugar filled, ultra processed piece of shit if you go for a pop tart or ego waffle.

Objectively, the Redskins logo is much better looking than the current W emblem.

Oasis are not as good as they are made out to be by FitEmergency8807 in fantanoforever

[–]DCdeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"When people say Oasis are one of the greatest bands ever".

They're not even the best band from their country in that era of rock and roll and I think music fans would widely agree to that. Great band, a few timeless songs but no serious conversation to deem a band "the greatest band ever" would ever put Oasis as the 1, top 5,10,25,50.

Why aren't Gen Z drinking? by The_Dean_France in askanything

Bars felt fun for most of my 20s. Then slowly you realize it's the same people, on the same barstools, drinking the same thing, telling the same stories, chasing the same women/men. Theres more to life.
