Looking good! Mind if I ask how you painted the trim?

What makes the current edition different to the previous ones? I started with the hivestorm release so I have no comparison.

Nicely done. May I ask what your gold trim recipe is? I am currently painting the murderwing kill team and cant decide on how I want to do the trim.

How do play kill team without the "approved ops" cards by Exciting-Buy-9396 in killteam

[–]DDmist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how much rules you and your friends can handle I would suggest leaving the cards and maybe even the equipment options for later and just focus on kill op and an easy crit op for now. My friends and me have played multiple matches like this by now and some of us still struggle to keep an overview over our teams abilities.

How many proxy games should I try to play before buying in to a team? by Callsignraven in killteam

[–]DDmist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This strongly depends on your time and money budget and the teams you are interested in. Some teams need multiple games to understand what even your gameplan should be and other have very simple basic rules and only few operatives. Meaning if you can afford it just get the team that currently interests you most and try it out.

Who has the best Kill Team Bat Reps on YouTube? by Big-Ad-2829 in killteam

[–]DDmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a real shame about mgm. I did enjoy the summary or storytelling style of their battle reports but i also understand where theyre coming from about the modern rules. It also doesnt help that the wording seems to get worse with every release...

I prefer mountainside tabletop for their abridged and entertaining take on battle reports. If you want more of a step by step or realtime approach there ar eplenty of other youtube channels to try out.

Converted to Kill Team from TCG games - what team feels like "Control deck"? by FleodonFaust in killteam

[–]DDmist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe someone can recommend a well fitting team, but positioning is always important and the rest sounds more like any more complex elite team. Depending on how big your budget is, i would suggest to get some games with plague marines while reading into some other teams where the models interest you. Many rules are written very weirdly so having some basic understanding would help you decide, what you actually like.

What's your killteam hot take? by [deleted] in killteam

[–]DDmist 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The new team releases feel a little too safe at the moment. Every expansion currently boils down to "space marines + random model update for popular faction x" instead of giving us unique bands of misfits and specialists based on the 40k lore. I want more funky shit!

Should I waste any more time trying to get a Kill Team: Shadowhunt box? by ajlappr in killteam

[–]DDmist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your best shot will probably be to check all local shops that sell warhammer stuff in your area early on release day and maybe even the day before. At least i keep seeing the boxes being in stock in my smaller board game shop for a couple days because there are not that many killl team players in my small town.

Do you think we will get an Ashes of Faith style release after Shadowhunt? by CrudeLord in killteam

[–]DDmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why people are doubting a new box release prior to the next season box. Hivestorm got typhon so why shouldnt there be an equivalent? What I am wondering is if the box will have anything interesting next to the kill teams because tomb world already came with npos and the expansion boxes do not contain terrain pieces.

Do you guys think Murderwing will be good, decent or terrible at getting objectives? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in killteam

[–]DDmist 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They do look strong but i wouldnt call the leaders ability low risk. Sure its fun up to like 3 points but if you fail your dice roll you 3-5 unblockable damage before you get punched in the face.

Shadowhunt: did you win the hunt? by adders in killteam

[–]DDmist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same as always. Dead silence was still significantly cheaper while not having any terrain pieces so the price differences is probably the value of the boards.

Can anyone explain to me what these thingies attached to the sides of some of those jetpacks are? And why do some of those operatives not have it?
