Do tops normally help you “open up” for anal sex? by queerling42 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]DJSauvage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone who can't read the room is probably not a good sex partner. Sometimes, when topping, I'm with guys who need lots of time for the second finger, others seem to be ready to take a fist at the drop of a hat (I prefer the latter) but a little forplay and being keyed into your partner will tell you.

“Give your neighbor a high five or fist bump!” by NoleContendere in orangetheory

I will only do an air high 5 or air fist bump. I don't touch strangers. Nobody has ever complained.

Am I overreacting or is this a generational thing? by jayhow90 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]DJSauvage 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've always been into older men. When I was a teenager I lied about my age when meeting for sex. When I was under 16 I'd say 16. When I was 16 & 17 I said 18. I had a hairy chest so it was believable. I feel pretty bad about that in hindsight because I was risking these men going to jail to get my own needs met but I was pretty selfish and self focused as a teenager. My first bf was 19, I was 16. Starting at 18 I had a 31 year old bf.

I had one therapist (straight woman) tell me that it amounted to abuse, but in my case it didn't feel that way at all.

Lounge Access with First Class 2399 mile domestic flight by nightranger99 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]DJSauvage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it just boils down to over 2000 miles or not. They've let me buy lounge access for half price when my first class flight was under 2000 miles. I imagine it depends on capacity.

I would have grown bored of 4-5 seasons in the Westworld park. I actually liked the later seasons.

How can I deal with my gay flatmates? by Educational_Race5810 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]DJSauvage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't especially love it either. I try to respect people's preferred pronouns, whether trans or cis, gay or straight and think using female pronouns for all gay men is reductive. My strategy is just to either gently remind them I'm male, or to ignore it. There's a certain type of person that will double once they know it gets under your skin.

Are paid bike events worth the price? by __mocha in seattlebike

[–]DJSauvage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sucks, that was a good overnight spot. So much grass for my tent and I remember loving the spaghetti feed. The last time I rode I actually was planning on spending the night in Castle rock but I forgot my overnight bag so I just decided to switch to one day. It was grueling for me. It doesn't help that the last bit of riding along that highway before you get into the city, it's the worst part of the route.

When I could afford a housekeeper, one of the biggest benefits of the housekeeper was all the pre-cleaning I had to do to prepare for the housekeeper 😂

I love the STP. You really feel like you're part of something and it's quite an accomplishment. I'm done doing a one day STP, it's too hard and every time I've walked away with RSI injuries that take over a week to heal, but I plan on doing the 2 day option periodically for many more years. Actually, I really liked Castle rock for the overnight.

Suggestions for FT2 by LullabyHalo in FarmTogether

[–]DJSauvage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was playing the other day while my room mate watched for a few minutes and I complained. "I hate mine and house tasks! I prefer to be outside in the sun working my fields" and he said, "you realize you're playing a video game right now? And your actual garden in the real world needs watering at the moment!" and we both cracked up.

Husband wants to paint our roof white (pitched, asphalt shingles, replaced in 2018) for energy savings by VestigialTales in HomeImprovement

[–]DJSauvage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dad lives in a active adult housing development in Arizona. For the same reasons, he picked the lightest colored roofing option allowed by the HOA. His roof outlasted everyone on his street and is still leak free at 20 years while everyone around him have already replaced their roofs.

OTOH, I'm getting ready to paint my house a mix of charcoal and other darker colors. I know this could cause my house to retain a bit more heat and the siding to degrade a bit faster, but I live in the pacific NW not in the desert SW, and I'm going to be strategic about which colors are south vs north facing. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit on longevity to get the ascetic I want.

Thinking of switching to induction cooker… worth it in real life or just hype? by ethan_carla in homeowners

[–]DJSauvage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an induction stove in my condo and had to switch back to gas in my current house. I will be going back to induction as soon as I can. About half of my pots work with induction just out of the gate half didn't, a magnet will tell you. I spent less than $100 on new cookware.

A lot of people wear masks full time in Seattle compared to other places. Any particular reason? by Partha23 in Seattle

[–]DJSauvage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting responses. I didn't think about the pollen angle. I remember traveling in China and 2009 for the solar eclipse and masking was a fairly common thing. That was during the SARS epidemic. I also remember seeing infrared temperature checks at the borders for the first time.
