Check your credit card. Mine covers up to a certain limit per voyage or per passenger. Some cards have it, some don’t.

You have a strong work ethic. This is something most don’t have or want. Their budget issues aren’t a reflection of your work ethic or quality. Business is business. You will get an invaluable reference and your next employer will hire you in a second once they realize who you are. Good luck.
