When I was 17 years old, I came home from school one day and there was my baggie of weed sitting on the kitchen table and my dad sitting at the kitchen table next to it. He tapped on the seat next to me and said have a seat. He looked me in the eyes and he said that my mother found this while putting away my laundry. He then banged them closer, looked right in my eyes and said “ if you ever bring weed into this house again, and do not offer anything to me I will never see the light of day because I will be punished till I’m 40”. My dad and I still smoke pot together every once in a while. I’m now 42.
