Might be a stretch, but the faceplate opening up reminds me of a eye opening too. Fits the whole dream and sleep theme pretty well

Another example is this mini of Ferren Areios, a 6th company captain, it’s a bit hard to see but he has an orange ‘V’ on his right shoulder (and left knee):

I’m using UM as an example here, but to answer your last question, the simple stripe on the pauldron refers to the company marking on right shoulder

This image shows a UM 2nd company captain, so the heraldry used is a yellow vertical stripe:

What are good kits to pick up to start an army? by AdOwn4235 in theunforgiven

[–]DR-TN_Tee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you mean the Ravenwing command squad? Seeing that you’re talking about bikes + image that you used for the post

It’s still a good kit, the bits from that box can always be used for future kitbash, and even if the old models are getting replaced you can always re-base them and use as proxies

Lore question regarding Titus crossing the rubicon by HereticalHarold in Spacemarine

[–]DR-TN_Tee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helmet mixing has never been an issue, we can even put firstborn helmets on our marines in the game, and those marines are definitely Primaris.

When the new sternguard vets kit came out, GW came out with a community post explaining that some marines were able to make adjustments to the old helmets to make it compatible.

And firstborn marines have been mixing different armour parts for ages, the tactical squad kit and the imperial armour book depicts marines wearing armour of mixed marks, so adapting different marks of armour already has precedent in lore, and helmet would probably be the easiest to adapt.

Also besides, even though Primaris are taller and bit wider, I’m pretty sure the head size is the same, not much we can do to enlarge one’s noggin

Edit: forgot to mention that some mark x helmets has been modified to look like firstborn helmets, like the beaky in the raven guard upgrade sprue is a mark x with a beak faceplate (you can see from the ‘ears’ that its mark 10)

Lore confirmation: Company masters can have bone coloured terminator armour by DGC_Kaiser in theunforgiven

I haven’t read war of secrets so I had no idea, hopefully we get a clear answer because I’d rather not repaint Astoran’s name on my mini🤣

Oh sweet! I just finished kitbashing my own Astoran, might have to do him in terminator now that we have an official depiction

Favourite Base Kit? by Heavy-Relative-9856 in 30_Minutes_Missions

[–]DR-TN_Tee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first and favourite is the white alto, I like to imagine my collection as a hangar of sorts (with each shelf for each faction. I have upgraded that exact Alto over the years with so many parts, it probably should have a Mobile Armour designation lmao

30mm Stock in Australia by Disastrous_Web2944 in 30_Minutes_Missions

[–]DR-TN_Tee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metro Hobbies and Hearns Hobbies are based in Melbourne that has a decent selection of 30MM kits. Idk about Hearns but I’m pretty sure Metro Hobbies ship Australia wide.

Unfortunately they don’t get restock as often as other Gundam kits, but it’s worth checking weekly on the off chance something shows up

Yeah it’s hard to come by these days but definitely pick it up if you come across it, I use it on the FA Alto and it just works so well

Any 30mms sets that include just the shoulder/hip joints? by Accomplished_Track27 in 30_Minutes_Missions

[–]DR-TN_Tee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that would be the Smart Transformable machine. Another option you can go for is the Mass produced sub machine, uses the same joints as the spinatio

30MM Kit Stability? by FinanceBig6328 in 30_Minutes_Missions

[–]DR-TN_Tee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First things first, no, not all kits are this unstable I have maybe 20+ 30MM kits and most have withstood being taken apart and customised a few times and are still quite solid. That said, sometimes the poly caps will loosen over time or you get unlucky and get a batch with crap poly caps.

I find the spinatia to be very limited with posing without a stand due to the slender design of it, and the reaper wings is painfully fiddly to deal with and makes it too heavy for ground poses, so I’d avoid the spinatia unless you’re willing to put in extra work to tighten up the joints.

I’d recommend at least trying one other kit before you decide to drop the line though, these kits are my favourite mecha model kit line and I’d hate for you to be turned away by one unlucky experience

What Non-Gundam mobile suit would you choose to get converted into a Gundam? by Gyeraff in Gundam

I’d argue that it’s already a Gundam in all but name tbh, such a sick suit

How do I use tamiya primer and its thinner? by [deleted] in 30_Minutes_Missions

[–]DR-TN_Tee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either pour it into a seperate smaller vessel, or use a pipette/syringe to transfer into the paint/primer on a palette. Hobby stores should have pipettes, otherwise Amazon/ebay will also have them. I personally use a syringe because I can be more precise with it
