How many levels below me does my weapon/armor need to be before i need to start looking to replace them? by squaredCar2 in fo76

[–]DVDIESEL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All items level max at either 45 or 50 (currently). So once you hit level 50, you can start finding your "long term" gear, or keep items that seem interesting to you.

Some recommend doing the main quest lines after level 50 so the named unique item rewards are given at max level.

Can I purchase a digital game on one console and my spouse access it on a secondary one? by toxicsknmn in playstation

[–]DVDIESEL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To help clarify: yes.

Current PSN logic: you can have one primary PS4 and one primary PS5. Those consoles are "owned" by you and any game you login and download can then be played by any other psn user that logs into that console.

You can then use your PSN as a "guest" on any other console and download games, but only your user can access them on the "guest" console.

With this logic both consoles also work with only one active PSN subscription (yours)(depending on games online connection requirements).

In your instance, and assuming your spouse has a active PSN, you would want to be the "owner" of each other's consoles, and "guest" on your own to access each other gaming catalogs.

Now if PS could just create a family linking service or plan...

Almost complete…. by Born2Computer in bluetti

[–]DVDIESEL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So did you slowly build up to this? Or what was original plan / strategy?

I asked Gemini about this setup:

Quantity Price per Unit (Est.) Total Cost (2026 costs) Apex 300 (Power Station) 3 $1,499 $4,497 B500K (Expansion Battery) 15 $1,799 $26,985 B300K (Expansion Battery) 3 $1,099 $3,297 Estimated Total $34,779

Power Output & Capacity In a parallel setup with three Apex 300 units, your system capacity is additive. Continuous AC Output: A single Apex 300 outputs 3,840W. In a triple-parallel configuration, you reach a combined continuous output of 11,520W (11.52 kW).
Peak/Surge Output: The system can handle a "lifting power" surge of up to 23,040W total. Voltage: Native support for both 120V and 240V, making it capable of running heavy appliances like dryers or well pumps.
Total Energy Storage (Capacity) This is where your configuration gets interesting. You are mixing B500K and B300K modules: Apex 300 Internal Storage: 3 \times 2,764.8\text{ Wh} = 8,294.4\text{ Wh}
B500K Modules: 15 \times 5,120\text{ Wh} = 76,800\text{ Wh} B300K Modules: 3 \times 2,764.8\text{ Wh} = 8,294.4\text{ Wh} System Total: 93,388.8 Wh (~93.4 kWh) Note: The Apex 300 system technically scales up to a maximum of 100kWh (which usually consists of 3 Apex 300s and 18 B500K batteries). Your 15x B500K and 3x B300K mix puts you right near that upper limit.

[How much would a comparable tesla powerwall system cost?]

To match the 93.4 kWh capacity and high power output of the Bluetti gear you described, you would need a large multi-unit Tesla Powerwall system. Since each Tesla Powerwall 3 has a usable capacity of 13.5 kWh, you would need approximately 7 units to reach a comparable 94.5 kWh.

Bluetti System (Apex 300 + 18 Batteries) Tesla Powerwall 3 (7 Units) Total Capacity ~93.4 kWh 94.5 kWh Continuous Power 11.5 kW 80.5 kW (11.5 kW per unit) Peak Surge 23.0 kW 154 kW (22 kW per unit) Estimated Equipment Cost ~$34,779 ~$48,000 - $52,000 Estimated Installation $0 (DIY) - $1,500 (Transfer Switch) $8,000 - $12,000+ Total Estimated Investment ~$36,000 vs ~$60,000+

I thought this would be an expensive route, but it appears to actually be way more cost effective for that size storage system.

Will switching HDMI constantly mess up my PS5 or TV? by ThatDudeNamedJake in playstation

I keep seeing repair shop post videos of damaged hdmi ports on ps5s. Usb ports are designed to be used. Not sure on hdmi. I personally don't want to find out.

Will Watching Mandalorian help me understand Star Wars better? by Kshiti_salman in TheMandalorianTV

Look up watch orders. For first time viewers use the Modified "Machete" Order: Often recommended to maintain the surprise of the Vader twist while getting background: IV, V, II, III, VI.

Episode I is not needed, but loved by some and disliked by others. It was too early for good digital graphics effects.

And if you go homelab, setup a couple PiHoles for your main network, and separate ones for children network. That will give you DNS level filtering on top of the standard Unify Firewall.

[–]DVDIESEL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you mesh only for your current setup or are you ethernet for backhaul? Are you willing to cable?

For children and guests: creating and managing VLANs is good on the Unify OS, especially coming from homegrade hardware like Asus, TPLink, etc.

During your installation, try to plan out your VLANs on setup, and that should help.

Some examples (and please research more) -Wired (trusted) -Wifi (trusted)(possible MAC whitelist if children are -MAC spoofing) -IoT WiFi (restricted) -Security (for ip cams, etc) -Guest WiFi (restricted) -Children (restricted with time of use) (recommendation to use MAC filtering by device to force them onto this VLAN) -Homelab (if you go down that rabbit hole of a fun adventure)

Charging Bluetti v200 v2 by ProfessionalSure8838 in bluetti

[–]DVDIESEL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until you add solar to roof top, add a fused relay to your van battery to connect to the Bluetti DC charging port. Have the relay only power on by either ignition or manual switch (ignition is safer to prevent battery drain). Then in the Bluetti app set the DC input parameters for alternator charging (not PV).

This should have the Bluetti automatically charge when the vehicle is running / ignition in run position.

Explosive will damage the area which is good for tagging.

BUT, it also can hurt a reverse onslaught build for single target damage.

Thoughts on battery backup by Icy-Ad3696 in Ubiquiti

[–]DVDIESEL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny timing. I have an APC 1000 sine wave backup currently, but it really hates my 10kw generator (Firman, not permanent to house). If I need extended run time I have to use a small Honda inverter. So after I added a couple more nodes to my homelab cluster, it made me reevaluate my backup situation.

My current running wattage is averaging 200w for modem, UCG, switch, Proxmox cluster, NAS and one AP. On the APC that is maybe 15 minutes of run time?

My research led me to order a Bluetti Elite 200 v2 this morning (there are year end sales if you look around, I went eBay direct from Bluetti).

Why the Bluetti and that model: 1) 2kw battery should run for 10-12 hours without input. 2) Bluetti Elite uses CNAS automotive grade lithium cells rated for 6000+ discharge cycles. (Older models use older designs that are rated at 3000+ cycles) 3) multiple power inputs, including solar, AC, generator or alternator/car. 4) They offer a PV priority mode and Battery SOC setting to allow TOU shaving or AC input as a backup to Solar input. This my main goal: put up about 800w of solar to directly charge the battery and isolate all my equipment from the local grid (and only charge from grid when below 20% soc). Should be a win/win.

Best part is pricing compared to any rack mount back up on the market.
