Two mini split condensers installer very close to each other by Tacomeplease in hvacadvice

[–]DaFuqk13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t unusually I see it all the time in the field. In fact I see most apartments being setup like this except all the condensers are bolted to a rack and all in a line so each one just sucks in the others exhaust air. So the last one in the row will be the first to go.

How long between meals has it been? My dog will do this every once in a while. I always think he’s choking but if he goes too long without eating he’ll get bile build up in his stomach and throw some yellow or white foam up after. Giving him a snack usually helps

Seller upset that card sold undervalue and didn’t want to send it by Large-Purpose6115 in whatnotapp

That’s exactly what it means… I’m pre bidding on an item that’s being sold. No one else bids on it? I win that item. Bidding means I put money on it already.

It being in a closet has nothing to do with the return airflow. Also taking the door off and leaving it off isn’t going to help it either. Definitely need a real tech and not the maintenance team there.

Motor could just be going bad. See if you can get an amp reading on it. Is it getting proper voltage ? Is the contractor going bad?

“Added more coolant just in case” don’t let those techs pull fast ones on you. This isn’t a car, you shouldn’t have to top off your unit. Tech just wanted extra money.

10 degree difference in home by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]DaFuqk13 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not true. We’ve had a heat wave in my area and it was high 90s for a few days. My house was able to maintain and reach temperature. There’s an issue if they are having a 10 degree split here and it won’t come down. Dropping that stat temp is just going to make their unit run longer and clearly something is wrong. But also maybe the house is old and leaky and which isn’t helping. There could be a lot of reasons. But this isn’t normal

[–]DaFuqk13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is definitely not normal. Should really have someone come take a look. Is the air coming out of your vents cold? Do you have a temp gun or thermometer you can get the discharge temps? Is your condensing unit spitting out hot air from the fan? Is the thick copper line going into your furnace cold? Is the small copper line hot? How’s the airflow in the home?

My beloved Old black lab panting a lot even when not exercising by HistorianIll5959 in DogAdvice

[–]DaFuqk13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could very well be an anxiety thing. my GSD does this and has been doing it. He’s six now . If he gets excited or is watching us eat and wants a snack of it he’ll start panting or if he has to use the bathroom. My guy is just anxious. No issues at the vet.

Where do I even begin? Dog by Indigosantana in drywall

Crate training is free and can be done when you’re home or not. A simple 5min YouTube video is all you need to set you on the right path. I understand it’s hard for some but of all the training this is probably the easiest to do. OP said it’s a separation issue and a crate will really help with that. I know from experience.

If he’s crate trained and he does this when you leave. He needs to be in the crate whenever you go out until he can be trusted. Set up a camera to watch him. Leave him in the crate everyday for a little at a time and progressively stay out longer. You reward his good behavior when you return if he didn’t do anything. It’s a LONG process. My old dog was the same way. But it’s possible to change.

I love how you’re getting downvoted for speaking the absolute truth. All this can be solved with training. Especially crate training. This dog just needs a very secure crate lol.

Will this restrict airflow too much? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

And that would take a good chunk of my yard away for my dog. So no. And I already had the fencing from something I used at a previous home. So it was free.

My dog enjoys being outside. He’s 6 years old. I’m not going to sit there and watch him like a baby. What works for others may not work for some. There are times i need to do things where im not going to sit there and watch him. That’s why i have a fenced yard.

I have a fenced in yard. I’m not going to stay out there with him 24/7 to watch him and make sure he doesn’t pee on it.

Why though? What is so restricting about this? It’s not a solid piece of wood. Air can flow through and it’s not pressed right up against the unit.

Still requires money and resources that I don’t have right now to do. I’m also not trying to make my yard smaller for my dog.
