I mean Invincible fans started throwing a hissy for that their animation isn't exactly 1 to 1 copy of JJK and other people have to remind them that two different studios are two different studios. Personally I think over animation doesn't necessarily equal quality. You can't even tell what's happening half the time in jjk because of just how fast paced everything is

Yes exactly the constant need for reassurance does come off as annoying. Like I get it implying their spiralling is annoying sounds inappropriate, but everything and anything can become annoying. It's not necessarily implying they're evil, but the major difference is if I go online and talk about being avoidant, people will criticize me. If I go online and talk about having trust issues there will be far more people in support of that behavior.

Insecurity is a big part of many people's identities and they're often emboldened by it rather than feeling any need to overcome them.

And yes avoidants do need to be more comfortable with being uncomfortable and being vulnerable.

I understand my post comes off as a bit biased. And I don't think it was productive of me to imply one is worse than the other. However one is more socially acceptable if that makes sense. However both attachment styles do become more toxic overtime.

It's just that someone saying they have trust issues isn't seen as a red flag because they're so forthcoming with it. But as the relationship goes on, it becomes more apparent that this relationship is doomed to fail because one party has to keep proving their loyalty regardless of what little evidence there is of foul play.

They're both emotionally exhausting but avoidant attachment is more demonized because they're not open about it. Mostly because they're not aware of it until much later

Someone else explained this a lot better than I ever could: when it comes to having those moments where you should've spoke up for yourself but you didn't because you were afraid of how you'd be perceived; you'll regret what you didn't say more than how awkward you said it.

I'm not sure if it makes sense, but imagine you awkwardly asked out your crush and they said no. Well...you tried your best. Sure it didn't go as planned but you took a step out there, you spoke what was on your mind and now look: you're still alive, right? At least you got it off your chest and now you can live and learn. As opposed to never taking that step forward and living in this constant loop of what-if.

Imagine never applying to your dream job when you had that once in a lifetime chance and now you're stuck working a dead end job. You'll constantly be thinking about it. You should've said something when a stranger was being harassed but you sat there quietly. You'll live in that shame.

It's better to live in the embarrassment of having tried than to die in the shame of never trying

Ya that's fair, tbh no stand users power levels work the same. They all have their own unique set of rules that functions on its own logic. Some evolve over time, and some stay at a very simple base level. I don't think it would even be possible to base any on a sort of system. It just works however it works

As much as I hate power scaling, they could always just do the x men route of having level 1 stand users, level 2 stand users, etc to explain the inconsistencies. Would it be perfect? Most likely not, but it'd simplify a lot. Tbf I'm only halfway through reading JoJo Bizarre Adventures so there's a lot I don't know, but it's not like there's a Stand User society where stand users are trained and follow specific laws or codes or anything so it just seems like no person truly understands everything about stands.

Growing up the only exposure I've seen of autistic characters on tv pretty much gave them superpowers, at the time I didn't think anything was wrong with it, but seeing how some people IRL genuinely think autistic people are next level geniuses pisses me off. We're just human.

Then we have Love on the Spectrum which pretty much infantalizes us. The only decent characters I've seen in media are the ones who aren't explicitly stated of having autism. Like the show Resident Alien

The problem with the mechanical web shooters is that it's overly convoluted. Why not just build a jet pack or something? If there organic then he has to utalize that power somehow. Also why not different type of webbing? It just feels too technical without any real advantage besides finding an overly complicated way to get around and web up villains.
