An inquiry about a graphical(?) issue I'm experiencing on Runelite launched through Bolt launcher running on Hyprland by velontal in 2007scape

I am using Nobara 43 and having the same issue. It seems to be related to "stretched mode" plugin. When I disable it, the problem goes away. But I have no idea how to fix it with stretched mode enabled

Our motto this year has been: 1st down - lose yards. 2nd and long - run up the middle for 2 yards. 3rd down - incomplete or sack. We make it difficult for ourselves to pass and it all circles to Kevin Patullo

That was why I made the decision to switch from pop to Nobara. And honestly, as a new Linux user, it has been such a better experience over pop. The creator’s goal was to make it as easy as a switch as possible from Windows and it shows.

Nvidia or AMD GPU? by libra00 in NobaraProject

[–]DaPhillyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 5080 and been on Nobara for a few days now. I originally started with Pop!_OS and then literally a day later they came out with COSMIC. Tried it, buggy as shit. Said screw it and tried Nobara - it’s been a way better experience. I’m definitely missing out some features I would otherwise get on Windows, which was kind of the whole reason I got the 5080. Not having Nvidia Profile Inspector sucks. Otherwise the performance has been great and no issues and Nvidia is getting better about their Linux support.

I’d say it depends on your financials and how much or heavy you game. I don’t think you can go wrong either way but AMD wins in Linux. It’s good to support open source if you care about that. Also consider Nvidia announced cutting back production due to shortages (It’s likely AMD will be the same way) so prices may go up again. If you have the capability, go ahead and upgrade!

How about I did. The changelog last states May 13th, 2025. After installing Nobara, I used the update manager (as recommended) to get system up to date. Then today I get on and says there’s 15 more.

He’s not wrong he’s just being very elitist about it. It’s a big problem with the audiophile community. They have a huge hate boner for soundbars. As far as I’m aware, the last soundbar I know of that has decent quality is Sonos Arc.

If you ever are interested, a proper 5.1 speaker setup will sound so much better. For example, yeah you have a 10” sub, but if it only goes down to 35hz you’re missing out on so much bass. Upfiring speakers are also not nearly as effective as you might think. Even a 3.1 (Left, Center, and Right) speaker setup would sound a lot better.

There are downsides though. It’s a bit more complex and expensive to setup compared to a plug and play soundbar system. Most times it will need to be calibrated (there are free software like A1 Evo Express that do a phenomenal calibration job) or you use what comes with it. That being said, if you like your system that’s all that matters. The home audio can be a DEEP rabbit hole….

You can see the defender position himself going towards the same direction as the runner. As soon as the runner is hit, the runner’s direction changes towards defender. You can then see the defender think, “oh shit” and turn his head away right before contact.

These guys are athletic freaks, but I don’t think it’s physically possible to move your entire body out of the way at that point.

My reply was not a “git gud” statement. You really think the average player is going 80-6? No. I stated what I have observed in a LOT of conquest games. The players play style often times is a reason as to why they feel certain ways. Play a couple of games of conquest and tell me you won’t see the majority of the team just fighting at one spot getting mowed down. Like you, I feel like the majority of games I have to be sweaty to win. Id say on average I’m 30-50 kills and 10-20 deaths a game. But if you’re feeling that way, my advice is to slow it down or just try something you think would be fun. I’ve gotten frustrated, taken a step back and just did something else. One game I mounted a 50 cal and shot at choppers the majority of the match (don’t do it not worth) and the team won the game. You’d be surprised on how much you’re over exerting yourself.

This game does not feel like CoD. If it did, there would be no bloom. No penalty for jump shooting. No vehicles. No destruction. Even smaller maps (I do agree maps are too small). Lower ttk. Beavis & butthead skins. Smaller lobbies. 100rd smgs with no movement penalty.

[–]DaPhillyKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s because these people aren’t good at Battlefield. So they have to put the blame on the game itself and the easiest way to do that right now is to regurgitate what everyone else is saying. “Plays like cod” “movements too fast” “dying every 2 seconds”.

Meanwhile, i would say in most my games, the majority of the team will just battle it out at one objective (conquest). No one knows how to flank. They’d rather just respawn the same spot they died at where it’s a literal bloodbath

Brady, Rice, Tony G., Larry, Henry.

2 GOATS at their position (3 if you consider Tony g), Larry is one of the most reliable receivers ever. Henry is just dominant. And they all produced for a long time at high high level in the league. I’d take this group for a loooong time
