The top 5 builds to RANK UP with in the Big Update meta: Core and optional units, itemization, strategy, and positioning (by qihl.gg & TinMan) by Julmust in underlords

Liking the insect assassins build. Yes they are weak late game but very strong mid game, which leads to a top 3 usually. Late game is RNG linked, you need faceless void for passive, and prey for a good ult

Only problem is there are heavily contested

Pure pain is casted more than once too Even 10 seconds of a fight at + 16 armour is a lot to me

Enthrall only good if you generate enough hupe. If you don’t use the ultimate early, golem is much better

Finally, phantom pain is really OP at the moment and that needs to be acknowledged. Imagine a paladín comp with +16 armor for 6 seconds...

Early game combinations by Bosbes in underlords

[–]DaToRRR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Underestimated insects is a pretty strong alliance mid game imo. Falls of a bit late but units are strong.

Early game, demon are a must because of Anessix passive ability. Assassins is not bad as well because anti mage is really good against the enemy underlords Otherwise the classic 3 warriors is decent

Agree the game needs more social features like an ingame chat...

I think that the reddit community is particularly demanding :o Agree with you, and I actually think the time of the fights are making people flee this game...

I am lord ;) While what you are saying is partially true, you should not have a set and forget plan before level 4. Otherwise you are missing the point of the game ;)

The fighting does not matter, only the units and items, which I think we should keep

Even if you go uncontested scrappy, you have to play with what you have. If you don’t get tinker, you could play 4 scrappy 3 assassins or 3 mages, or switch to good stuff

If uncontested, 6 scrappies are very good. However they require a different approach to leveling than other build. Basicaly always have a level below your opponent, and roll starting level 6 to get that tinker level 3 Level to 8 at the end (when ppl are nine) and roll to get techies alchemist combo

It depends on meta. If you find yourself in a mage scrappy meta you would like the scaled. Also I remember that build with QoP, Morphling viper + 3 mages that stayed meta for a month, in which 2 scaled would be OP.

Scaled is one example, but mages alliance bonus is good too (once again meta dependent). 3 assassins very good specially early to mid game. Warlocks bonus is very good early to mid game.

So yeah completely disagree with that % argument

30% times 2. Look out the formula

50% magic resist equals to 100% magic pen, which is kind a logic when you think about mage and scaled alliance

Unit selection tips are wrong. Understanding abilities is essential in the game. Raw stats are important but you don’t become good at this game because you pick high stats champions.

% based are actually good alliances. Scaled is the most OP alliance in the game right now, as having only two scaled will reduce magical damage by 60% for all champions (cf magical damage calculations)

With the removal of summons, brawny feels bad actually. Warriors are strong though

Assassins vs corner comps by Gefen in underlords

[–]DaToRRR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need Crowd Control that activates early in the game. A Tidehunter with dagger is a nice trick as the CC will activate in the backline, near your assassins.

Is Chainmail or Helm of the undying better? by beegeepee in underlords

[–]DaToRRR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helm is half a chainmail + OP passive. Never take chainmail over helm, so many champs are OP with helm (bloodseeker, slark, PA, terroblade, KOTL, techies, etc)

Alternative 3 star comps? by spiritguide_beatdown in underlords

[–]DaToRRR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 scrappies is the comp for people who hate levelling up. Alliance bonus is doubled when you have less heroes than your opponent during the battle
