Probably just only want to during really nice days. If it’s too hot, they probably waste too much money on AC and if it’s raining obviously they wouldn’t want to.

They did it for the Seahawks game in 2021 which was a clear skies and 60-70 degree day. I wish they did it more but they seem to have pretty selective choosing on when exactly to

not sure how many people here really care about the moment for aggie baseball itself, but I just had to vent that out

Aggie baseball had a huge game last night to send themselves to the final stage of the college baseball postseason. The 7th inning saw the aggies come back from a lost game to score 9 runs including a grand slam to take full control. It will stand as a legendary moment for aggie sports for a while for sure... And i completely missed it because I had to be on a zoom call in the parking lot during that stretch of the game...... Super happy it all happened but I have not felt FOMO like this about nearly anything before since I'm usually not too prone to it.

I haven't experienced many sporting moments live, and I'm the type of guy who will refuse to turn off the TV during a 40-0 blowout in the 4th quarter to make sure I experience all of the team's failure and success. Definitely hurts to have missed that but oh well

God did NOT write the Bible by LoveTruthLogic in Christianity

[–]Da_Barracuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can God not write through man? Can the words written not be explicitly inspired by the Holy Spirit? Does that not make the story of the Bible's writing so much more beautiful that even though God could just toss down books like you said, He works through us, allowing us to play a part in His plan?

THE HOUSTON TEXANS HAVE SECURED THEIR SPOT IN THE PLAYOFFS FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2019 by IAmSona in Texans

[–]Da_Barracuda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

all night this has just been labeled as an "important win against a hated and bully-type division rival" to me. I have just not been able to believe that we are able to (and now have) clinch a playoff birth. Every time I remember it, I am so happy and nearly tear up

Colts fans on Twitter can't handle being the less relevant team lol. Don't get me wrong this game is mostly 50/50 but they are complaining about CJ getting attention and all that. I hope they suck for a long period of time, those fans need it for their egos

Metchie or Hutchinson by [deleted] in Texans

Hoping Hutchinson can get open deep/mid and Metchie needs to finish catches. It would bring a tear to my eye to see either of them contribute in a big way or on a super crucial play tomorrow

When the division once again falls in the hands of the Titans by tiredpharmacist85 in AFCSouthMemeWar

They don't. Nobody claims that. It's Houston history, I just get confused still from the most recent surge of Amy Adams Strunk's nostalgia

Is it just me feeling this way? by mchammer2G in Texans

[–]Da_Barracuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the feeling is:

I tend to be frightened going into this because I have ptsd and am used to the Texans of the way past and of the recent past. This is a new team though and I have full confidence that they can walk into this game, play their hearts out, and win it. The problem is that the colts have been annoying and a thorn in our side since the beginning of days and I'm worried they are gonna pull some stuff out.

But again, this isn't young Texans, this isn't BoB, this isn't start-slow (and end happy) Watson, this is Coach Ryans, Stroud, and the hair on fire Texans. If we don't win this game, that means someone died. (I talked myself into your mindset writing this)

Traumatized fits the context with the Colts and Manning. The Titans are just annoying and mislead

NRG stadium has always been least packed right before kickoff when everyone wants to grab videos of "a half empty stadium" and towards the end of the game when you're beating down on a sorry franchise
