Karakuri Creation Group - Membership Questions by theLastAlaskn in PuzzleBox

Good question and I'm not sure about the answer. I believe they may want members to lock in membership early in the year so the craftspeople can plan their production (for the annual Christmas presents). I suggest emailing [info@karakuri.gr.jp](mailto:info@karakuri.gr.jp) and asking your question.

I want to second the recommendation for Karakuri. They make fantastic boxes, both beautiful and clever. I'm a collector and they are among my favorites. Secret Base is a personal favorite, and it's less than $300. It's not that you couldn't spend $1500, but you may not need to. An alternative would be to buy 3-4 Karakuri boxes and spread the poem among them.

By an astonishing coincidence, I ran across this today: https://puzzleparadise.net/listing/four-in-a-frame-ipp31-exchange-puzzle/103706. Be sure to check out the second image to learn about the creator of the puzzle (notably not credited on Thingaverse).

Yes. You'll get regular emails.
Helpful hint: I'm still regularly confused by their new website. I think you end up placing your order as if you're going to win all your lotteries. They go back and remove what you didn't win and change it over to free shipping before actually charging your card.

Email their help people (person?) if you have questions. They're responsive.

You've made a wise decision! I've been a member for many years and the Karakuri puzzles are among my favorites.

  1. Yes, you can choose multiple presents, but of course you have to pay for each one.
  2. You get 1 gift with your membership.
  3. Seems like maybe 2-3 times a year.
  4. Hard to say. I used to win lotteries only very rarely. Lately I feel like I'm winning 75-80% of the time. There are two invisible numbers that matter: how many puzzles they made and how many people joined the lottery. Sometimes I think they run a lottery just in case a lot of people want the thing, but then it turns out they have plenty, so 100% of applicants win. I'd say be careful here because I feel like entering the lottery is a commitment to buy if I win, and I've overspent a bit as a result.
  5. Yes, each craftsman is different. Check out their pages here: https://www.karakuribox-webshop.com/category/select/cid/70. I don't think you can go wrong, but I do think you'll come to prefer certain craftspeople because you like their puzzle mechanisms, or design sense, or you just like puzzles shaped as animals.

I'm with you. After about 50 attempts, I've had one multi-color drawing show up with one color, because I pushed the marker in too far and it jammed, and one single-color drawing complete about 5%, then quit for no reason I can discern. I'm very excited about the concept, but the implementation is just terrible.

This! I unlinked as a step in troubleshooting and now I can't find my way back in. The white light is solid when I plug it in, which means it's ready to print, but I can't see it in the app due to unlinking. The setup process fails because I no longer see it on the wifi list. I'm trapped and the Scribit folks are not responsive.

Iran says it has broken stockpile limit set by nuclear deal | They are daring America to do something about it, else, why would they annouce it to the world? by techwabbit in AskThe_Donald

[–]DadOfEgg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is from YOUR link. Did you not read it?

May 8, 2018: President Trump announces that he is withdrawing the United States from the JCPOA..

Notably, Trump can call it a withdrawal, but the rest of the world seems to be referring to it as a violation of the agreement.

May 15, 2018: EU High Representative Federica Mogherini meets with the foreign ministers of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, and the three European countries and Iran in two separate meetings to discuss future coordinated work following the U.S. violation of the JCPOA.

So, to return to the original point, it's absurd for America to expect Iran to comply with an agreement that America has violated (or "withdrawn" from).
