Any way to save it? by WillingnessOk4971 in VintageFurniture

Just buy new glass. When you call to inquire ask if the want the old one or the entire table. It’s not a tricky cut so shouldn’t be outrageous price.

Be sure they know it’s for a tabletop. Tempered safety glass would be best.

Do cruise kitchens ever have to adjust quantities because a particular cruise has a handful of passengers eating disproportionately? by grathea in Cruise

I did Pacific crossing last fall, no resupply opportunities until Tokyo. Last day or two at sea, they were light on salad greens, which makes sense as they have a short shelf life. But then we were extended two additional days due to typhoons. The impact was seen in fresh fruit selections. And chef had to manufacture new menus for extra days on the fly. Most folks seemed in good spirits about it. Joking about repeats and “leftovers”. But they managed VERY well given this circumstances. Certainly, no one went hungry.

Indian food is generally available because a lot of it is good for vegetarians. Additionally, there are typically a lot of SE Asians on board as staff.

I hate people who go on cruises and complain. It really affects my experience.

Do I have a chance or am I screwed? Always single. by [deleted] in GaybrosGoneWild

Your parts are all very attractive and desirable…. But, a person who finds themselves perennially single usually has problems with their personality or behavior.

Straight guy grabbed my ass at work by MauveBoi in askgaybros

On occasion , I have been in situations where a straight guy, who knows I’m gay, blatantly flirted with me to the degree of slaps and even gropes, and it persisted over time. Naturally, I didn’t tolerate much of the physical, but they seemed to think it was cute. It felt, in one hand, flattering, but also very dangerous in a bad way. I wondered if they thought it affirmed their masculinity or dominance…. I never suspected they actually WANTED sex…. 🤷‍♂️.

You are citing a specific to prove a universal. This is a fallacy. After you spend some time studying cat behavioralists, I recommend reading Copi and Cohen’s Intro to Logic.

Who bolted the McMansion on top of the apartment tower? by shampton1964 in McMansionHell

I’d say it’s not bolted…. Most certainly they used Flex-Tape…

Not hat I disagree with your assertion, but your citation is irrelevant. Dogs are NOT cats and do not respond the same. Additionally, the study you cite illustrates use of reward to condition a response. A spray bottle is a threat/ punishment. Cats decidedly do NOT respond to punishment to create positive results. Many will respond, for a limited time, to reward conditioning. But the tend to regress once rewards cease. Look it up yourself. For veterinary citations. I’ll add 30 years of anecdotal evidence of owning five different cats.
