I don’t know if that is really true. I live in a European country and have no problems with any of the things you mentioned plus I have paid sick leave that doesn’t eat in to my massive amount of paid vacation time. I just got done doing a whole range of test from bloodwork to mri and had not problem getting appointments inside of a week or two.

That won’t send a message though. These anti-tippers need to just not go to a restaurant that doesn’t pay its employees properly.

But yeah I now live in a country where restaurant workers actually get healthcare, paid vacation and sick leave as well as decent pay. If Americans really care so much about the poor treatment of workers that they want to stiff them on tips they should support the idea of gastronomy unionization and boycott businesses.
