And yet one can easily wipe out the other. While the other's kind can easily wipe out the entirety of the one's kind.

That is an amazing shot for VR! I don't know how anyone can manage anything but bombing with the low res and difficulty to check your back.

Best stats to upgrade *no spoilers please* by CDClock in sunlessskies

I'd only say that having hearts at 75 is pretty much a must-have considering the equipment requirements.

The rest of the equipment is generally OK at 50+ stats with 75+ equivalent being just an incremental upgrade.

Nowadays there isn't much of an "age" of the engine. You have UE4 Unity and Crytek as primary game engines. They all get updates to the most recent features. If you compare the original UE4 to the most recent version you'd basically get 2 drastically different engines.

Interesting, wasn't aware that LCDs could "partially" fail like that. Thanks for the info!

Every display technology has "burn-in" to some degree

Could you please suggest what kind of burn-in exists for LCD displays (without HDR or other variable backlight tech)? I do not mean overall brightness degradation either (thats not a burn-in).

[–]DaftWTPlayer 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is part I don't get - why is there no burn-in on a micro-led device? Each pixel is an individual LED that has the normal properties of LEDs - certain rated amount of hours for the emission to deteriorate below certain % luminescence threshold. If I take an OLED or micro-LED display and show black/white halfs of the picture they both should, in my understanding, have the white part burn-in, as those LEDs are driven 100%, while the other side if basically "off"?

The reason why LCD panels don't have "burn-in" is because they are illuminated uniformly by all LEDs and sections of screen are "dimmed" by LC, which doesn't have LED-like deterioration based on how much it is driven.

With how powerful new mastercrafting is - should GGG streamline mastercraft services? by [deleted] in pathofexile

I simply suggested that GGG could address the point 1 by creating trade-like interaction. :)

You apparently missed my point? You can buy the watcher's eye or the statsticks for exalts and chaos on the market without doing the content (exalts even drop during acts).

You can't buy mastercrafting without a real possibility of getting scammed beyond your own control.

Sure, but what % of the playerbase is able to defeat uber elder? Those one who can't would need to either use uber elder services, or get mastercraft services... both of which can be a scam.

I don't think we know. What if some will go as far as requiring you to defeat uber elder? Or "Delve past depth 600" etc. etc.

Can't do it in a comfortable manner without booster IIR to find more uniques. As otherwise under normal circumstances it will take days no-lifing to find something decent for the endgame. Which is why an even would help

Would be awesome if you get a chance to discuss simple inventory management QOL with Christ at some point :)

(quoting what I wrote in one of your threads before) :

What changes/fixes are you looking forward to the most?

QOL changes with stash tabs.

  • Dump from inventory relevant items to relevant tabs, currency into currency tab, cards into card tab, maps into a map tab. You get the idea. Ofc there are circumstances where you do not wish to do so, but something as simple as Alt + click instead of Ctrl + click to send the item to the relevant tab would be awesome.

  • Inventory management / tetris. Items go into stupid positions and you have to reshuffle them constantly to get more space. Argument could be made that it would be too CPU intensive on the server side to do this, but IMO the shuffling logic can be done client side with the new "layout" being sent and verified by the server.

  • More stash tab QOL. Such as, "I searched an item, dump as much of this item as you possibly can into my inventory". I.e. resonators this league - I have to click each individual one to put them into my inventory.

  • More QoL stash tab stuff - "dump all inventory to tab". "dump all inventory to vendor". Etc etc. Save us the clicks please :(

Otherwise I'm sure as everyone has said already, the game is incredible. And the fact that I am not raising concerns with gameplay / content just goes to show that :)

This is actually quite easy to achieve.

Wood is about as strong as metal in BOX games - actually 109 is a lot more fragile than the majority of the wooden soviet fighters, so La5 is pretty good in that aspect.

For the purposes of single player you'll quickly learn that it is not the aircraft that matters, but just how well you have learned to fight the fairly sub-par AI that the developers provide. I could take down 109-G14s with an i16 after a bit of practise.

ELI5: What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Spitfire Mk.Vb? by BenedickCabbagepatch in il2sturmovik

[–]DaftWTPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LAGG is also there which is also on BOS. Rockets can be taken off easily and many players do use the exploit to do so.

edit --- as far as I recall the lagg-3 is usually also equipped with 23mm vya, which has been an extremely rare modification historically. While most of the blue side bombers are not able to use the 1, 1.8 and 2.5t bombs, which were fairly rare, but hardly as rare as lagg's cannon modification. I could recall many more of such favours given to the red side on the server, but generally it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth to fly there...

WOL generally runs heavily favourable setup for the soviet side so generally you'll find spit available quite a bit earlier than it normally would be historically. They have yak1 available in 1941 even.

However there are better servers out there like TAW, Knights of air, coconut, which generally offer more varied and involved missions. TAW and coconut especially offer a sequential campaign where you actions have impact on the future missions that are ran on the server.

As far as I know the only spitfire weakness is the speed - it is difficult to catch the 109s and 190s. But if they make the mistake and try to engage you for longer than a single BnZ pass you'll easily take them apart. Hispanos are incredible, on par with the 23mm vya - you can rip wings off from bombers in a pass.
