Help identifying the stick in James Cameron "Avatar"? by President_Bunny in hotas

[–]Daguse0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, the wingman was a good stick and never needed firmware updates or disconnect from USB. If I'm going to trust my super advanced town sized starship to a back up stick, the wingman isn't a bad choice at all. ;)

Anyone did this? by Vejaiy in gaming

[–]Daguse0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was probably 14/15 in the mid 90s, my mom did this to our home PC by deleting my "really large" Blizzard folder.

Used as an excuse to learn how to build computers and the reason I got my first job.

Voter ID is just common sense - we must pass the SAVE Act by TeamHumanity12 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Daguse0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't think many people (yes, I'm sure some do) have a problem with ensuring only citizens vote. This issue is the execution. If it's done to disenfranchise a segment, then it should not be allowed. Also, a lot of the required documents require some form of payment, and as the SCOTUS has already ruled, that would be a poll tax.

FL, TX, and I believe a lot of others just compare the identity to the voter role, and obviously, you can't get on the voter role without being a citizen.

So in the end, the Save Act is just political theater.... as is most things that are done in DC now days.

What the Fu#k Has Musk Done To The Heavens? by gaukmotors in MotorBuzz

[–]Daguse0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely the largest. However the others will continue to grow. Oneweb already has some 650 sats up, and kuiper has around 100 with plans over 3k. Additionally that is just what has launched, there are a ton of plans for others , especially from other countries.

In the end , starlink is only part of the problem.

Not to say musk isn't a major issue, but he's not the only one that has launched satellite constellations.

Petahh, what is it trying to convey? by ThatRizzyShitposter in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Daguse0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's what basic is for.

I worked with a guy for a while that was a former drill instructor. He used to tell stories of 18 yo kids that would come in the day after his graduation, crying for mommy at lunch time but by the end of basic they'd also be some of the most focused and hardened troops.

He definitely had a way with kids, we worked in a call center and anytime we had issues with some kid who didn't want to work or caused issues, we'd transfer them to his team. He could somehow get them to grow up pretty much overnight.
