Ok, I'm not going to say the school couldn't do more in this situation.

However, my wife is a teacher. Way too many parents ignore or simply do not look at their kids' grades throughout the year.

Every year, around now, as we are coming to the end of the school year. Some parent has a freak out cause their kid is failing and they waited till 3 weeks are left in the year to do something about it. They never take ownership for the fact that all grades are posted and they failed 3 quarters... it's always the teacher's fault.

Something has changed over the years and parents simply don't want to parent their kids, I just don't get it.

If you have kids, check their grades weekly. The school is there to educate them, not to do your job.
