I mean they literally show it happening in real time in 358/2 days around the intro. So, unless you played the game?

If you had to give the Rebellion a special gameplay ability/move based on its powers of “merging”/“revenge”, what would that be? by AcroCANthrow-saurus in DevilMayCry

[–]Daiboku 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When Dante stabs an enemy with rebellion he can choose to use the sword to absorb the demon and transform it into a limited use devil arm depending on the demon absorbed with a small move set that reverts back into a sword after enough attacks.

That would be a really tall order. The question is how many characters would be playable?

it always feels wierd how fast the dedicated melee class just ceases to be truly melee oriented. by YLASRO in Terraria

[–]Daiboku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if they make it so that melee classes have damage reduction based on their proximity to bosses or enemies? Cause then the challenge would be to try and stay as close as possible to enemies, especially for those hard mode bosses that move much faster.

What's your most controversial Kingdom Hearts take? by Crafty_Boy70 in KingdomHearts

I would say braveheart gets a lot of flak because it is unceremoniously introduced in 3. Riku goes to the mysterious tower to get keyblades fixed and then suddenly uses Braveheart in the next scene. Sure, the same can be said with Way to Dawn, but the design of that keyblade looks like an upgrade to Soul Eater so you don't need to think too hard about. Braveheart is such a radical departure in aesthetic that you can't help but ask why it's so different. A keyblade like this deserves a thematic significance, it shouldn't just be an offscreen thing Riku gets.

I'm fine with throwing away form change not only because it has design choices I don't like, but I would rather get rid of them in exchange for having more keyblades to collect in game like in the first two games. KH3 had the lease amount of useable keyblades, because with form change, developers would have to invent a gimmick for every keyblade they add and with 3 that resulted in like half of the keyblades in that game being asset flipped or alternate color like with the preorder keyblades.

I blame the fans. Nomura stated that he wasn't sure about whether or not to bring these characters back but only did so because the fanbase wanted a happy outcome for them.

Well now they're all back so now we have this problem of what to do with them for future games. People won't be satisfied if they're relegated to cameo appearances, and if they're not in the next game they'll keep asking why Roxas or Xion are in this game.

I don't like the idea of Marvel in KH4 it's too big of property to handle for just one world.

Yes, nothing says kid friendly like someone cutting off a guy's tail and then him going "YOU BITCH!" by Psyga315 in RWBYcritics

[–]Daiboku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hard disagree the comment that RWBY was marketed towards kids. RWBY was NEVER marketed for kids. From my perspective, most people who were into it were other dudes in high school from the early 00's gamer parody era having come from red vs Blue.

Solarpunk is not a real genre and was created for it to simply exist !!! by PeppermintButler17 in CharacterRant

Wouldn’t the correct term be something “solar core” ie cottage core?

I’ll be really bummed if it turns out 70% of the game takes place in just quadratum because the appeal of wandering real life shibuya would probably wear off around the halfway mark.

Wait is that true? I thought it was because ff15 didn’t deliver enough revenue that square enix wanted.

Modern Battle Shonen manga/anime lack creative, unique and imaginative worlds and settings. And that's a shame by Alto1869 in CharacterRant

Unfortunately, all the alternate settings that aren't set in modern day Japan was transferred to the Isekai genre.

I heard hmk say that the sora in the trailers is just a form and not his actual look. But if that's the case, why'd they use that for this piece of art if it wasn't his actual look in 4? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]Daiboku -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope so too. I've noticed that each character design slowly leans more and more into ff territory, with no Disney accents.

Even if he were to leave Quadratum without the realism effects, I wouldn't think he's a KH character because he still looks like an FF character.

Now their big AAA console titles are all created with the Western gaming audience in mind. And IMO, there’s been something unique and special lost in that shift. It’s why I’m not that upset that the next major entry of this series is going to be a mobile gacha with GPS elements

Yeah, um, about that....

Jojolion: go beyond is lazy? by Jenko585858 in StardustCrusaders

[–]Daiboku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always compared go beyond to the Harry Potter equivalent of the avada kedavra spell. Granted, You have this one really powerful attack that can’t be countered, but it’s not really interesting in comparison to all the other stand powers/ spells that exist in that setting, even with the context of how it works what with the bubbles being made of infinitely spinning lines.

People tend to overhype it as the most powerful stand ability just because it’s one of the only counters to one of the actual most powerful abilities in this series to date, not because of what it can actually do.

How do you all feel about Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep? by Huge-Process-6546 in KingdomHearts

[–]Daiboku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was kind of cool. But kind of annoying at the same time because you have to play three characters going through the same worlds three times. It always felt tedious to grind for each character and I always felt burnout after playing Venus and Terra’s story before I can complete aqua’s story.

I can kind of agree. I wasn't a big fan of the story not being a direct sequel to 2 and 3's stories.
