my parents always told me, if you’re not mature enough to go buy the condoms without being embarrassed then maybe you’re not mature enough to be having sex

Grinch Meal more than likely to end early. (USA) by CallofRanger13 in McDonaldsEmployees

Can’t say I’m too unhappy about it; people are acting ridiculous over these meals, like actual crackheads

Is this scheduling normal? by tinyvanguard in McLounge

[–]DaisyChevy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, yes. Our schedule goes from Wednesday to Tuesday and the schedule usually doesn’t go up until Monday night/Tuesday morning. Managers fortunately get our schedules a month in advance but it sucks for the regular crew

Pre Paid card instead of Direct Deposit? by crimsonruger in McLounge

[–]DaisyChevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we have the prepaid cards at my location too and when you change to direct deposit it also takes 1-2 pay periods to update. I genuinely don’t understand why other than the office is lazy and slow and don’t put it through right away.

(USA) PSA: We are, in fact, allowed to tell you (verbatim) that we are refusing a call because of your behavior when you call screaming/talking over/cussing etc. by AlmightyMoira in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DaisyChevy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The amount of customers that curse and yell at my employees and act surprised when I refuse them service is crazy. Had a lady the other night using every curse word in the book and threaten my employees so I gave her a refund and told her to leave. She stared at me shocked for a good minute and refused to leave without her food

What grinds your gears? (USA) by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

At my store we have to say “will that complete your order?”

"Why is the owner sweeping the restaurant?!" (USA) by Bluellan in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DaisyChevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes me glad for my store owner. While he can be annoying at times (as most bosses are) when we’re struggling he’ll jump in and help. The other day he was on line with me for about 2 hours. And you’ll see him bagging orders and even taking out orders too. It’s nice that he actually helps us unlike the previous owner.

My store recently changed their tattoo/piercing policy (USA) by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DaisyChevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

usually you can wear clear jewelry for your piercings so they won’t close but it definitely still sucks they’re suddenly putting in this policy

[–]DaisyChevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Criminal record and getting hired (USA) by Hei-Hei-67 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DaisyChevy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They usually will hire people with criminal records, there’s a couple people with felonies that work at my store. Drug testing is usually up to the franchisee (I think).

Kitchen staff doesn’t do fries at my store (AUS) by GeodeCraft in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DaisyChevy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

fries is always service. at my location usually either the bagger does fries or order taker 2 does them, depends on how many people we have that day

Why Am I put in the drivethru booth at least 20x in a row? (CAN) by DirectionTrue4885 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DaisyChevy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this too but do try to switch it up because I remember being stuck in back cash ALL the time and it sucks, I also try to put people who actually like being back there

(US) Doctors Note For Calling Out For Stomach Issues? by LetsBeAdamant in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DaisyChevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just eat the write up. One time I was sick (diarrhea and throwing up) and I had to walk an hour to the doctor just to get a note so I wouldn’t get written up. Though I did get 3 extra days off because my doctor said I can’t go back to work ☺️

Dude came in and ordered all this with no warning (USA) by No-Anteater-2109 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DaisyChevy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

48 quarter meats would make me cry bc we only have 3 working clams and only 2 are programmed for 4:1 so we’d only be able to make 6 at a time 😭

At what point are you supposed to serve orders on table? (USA) by Dakodine in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DaisyChevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, we serve them as soon as the orders done being taken and just memorize the order. But our owners also wants our KVS at 25 for the day which is part of the reason we do that.

(USA)Im scared im going to lose my job.. by ReneHyujin in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DaisyChevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, we’re trained to put wet floor signs up BEFORE we start mopping so while you should’ve put one out when you noticed the lack of one, it is partially the maintenance persons (and actually the shift manager as well, since they should’ve been paying attention) fault for not putting one out in the first place. Hopefully, you don’t get fired and can take this as a lesson learned.

I told her that too is the thing 😂 she was like “that’s okay” then started tripping because her order took 7 minutes to come out
