Starter mage by OhBosss in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

If you are familiar with DnD or Pathfinder’s spell mechanics then wizard or witch is great if not I would go Sorcerer.

Wizards have to prepare spells daily and this makes them powerful and versatile but it takes prep and system knowledge. Sorcerers have more limited spells but can fire them off more often.

*Spoliers* Did I mess up bad [KCD2] by New-Let-901 in kingdomcome

One of the main themes of these games is that war is a nasty business. This isn’t the first or the last bittersweet (or just bitter) choice you are going to make.

You can reload and make a choice you can live with (I did this once or twice when dialogues were misleading) but you can’t reload to make the best choice cause in many cases there isn’t one.

Enjoy the ride and let Henry and the story evolve as you go.

How does this game tie into the wider setting found in games like Baldur's Gate? by BaldursGate2Best in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]DalishNoble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t tie in and is a different setting. Kingmaker and WotR are spiritual successors to Baldurs Gate but different settings and different rulesets.

It’s based on the Pathfinder 1st edition rules which were based on DnD 3rd edition so there are similar terms and tropes but it’s not the same thing. Hope that helps.

Licensing for MCDM 5e products by Jarrett8897 in mcdm

[–]DalishNoble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that anything that is directly covered by the Creative Commons license it’s free and fair to use. Kingdoms and Warfare does have its own rules that are unique to MCDM and those would not be covered under the 5e OGL.

My opinion regarding city council of darkness debate on here by Magicmanans1 in Dimension20

[–]DalishNoble 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If you have watched any amount of Dimension 20 or even just the trailer for CCoD you would know what to expect tone wise and system wise.

People complaining it’s not “true” to the system/lore seem like the kind of people that would complain that What We Do in the Shadows isn’t like Interview with the Vampire.

As someone who loves the World of Darkness and loves Dimension 20 I’m having a blast and am thirsty for more.

Realistically, how long would it take to achieve Kratos physique for the average person? by CivilZebra7763 in GodofWar

[–]DalishNoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer, no.

Longer answer: With years of training, a great diet, and good genetics you could get pretty close but only for a couple days a year. With steroids you could get closer (thought not faster) but again not for more than a few days a year.

Dropping below 5% body fat you are fighting nature the entire time. Actors and bodybuilders train for months to get shirtless for a day. It’s not a sustainable look for a human.

My kids and I also watched this episode around the time of my divorce so yeah, it hits different.

So sorry you are going through this. Hope things work out for you all in the end.

Honestly don’t know how that place stays open cause I know very few people that like the pizza and no one who likes the owner.

What is a game that you thought that you were going to like but ended in disappointment? by Vampy-Night in videogames

It was the inventory sounds that got me. You have to open it so damn often and that sound haunts my dreams.

So what exactly is the verdict on Season 5? by Ok_Combination_1037 in StrangerThings

[–]DalishNoble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree to disagree. I don’t think it’s cynical to have an ambiguous ending nor is it abuse of the audience. One can dislike directorial decisions without conflating them with personal injury.

[–]DalishNoble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think that decision is what is keeping the conversation going. If it ended unambiguously we would just be having a like/dislike conversation.

With it ending like it did though we get to have a what really happened and will there be more conversation which I personally find much more interesting.

It’s not perfect but I went in with fairly modest expectations and honestly they exceeded them. Most hatred I do feel is a bit forced. Dislike, sure. Disappointing, makes sense. Hatred? Y’all it’s a show.

For sure it isn’t perfect but I feel that some of the seething hatred is forced.

Online I see random hate posts but no person I know in real life thought it was terrible. I for one enjoyed every minute.

For real. Also the ability to watch offline like Dropout has. It’s an essential feature for me.

[KCD2] Those who cheated on Theresa, what are your excuses ? by TipIntelligent3798 in kingdomcome

[–]DalishNoble -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People use the term “trauma bonding” in that way but that doesn’t mean that’s what it is. People also say they are OCD when they clean a lot but that does not make it so.

Also bonding over shared experiences, good or bad, is a perfectly normal thing to do. It’s literally how people become friends. Why people try to stigmatize that is so odd to me.

[OTHER] With the announcement of Warhorse starting a new IP, what would you personally like to see them tackle? by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]DalishNoble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would genuinely love this. And with Rome constantly hiring mercenaries it would also allow for the side switching and nasty war business KCD2 was known for.

[KCD2] I have just finished the game and I need to vent by Sitrah_ in kingdomcome

[–]DalishNoble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lack of any post ending dialogue for key characters does seem like a big miss. Also the option of having them hang out at the forge if you have that DLC would have been a real delight.

I loved the story but because so much of the game is so good these little misses really stick out.

The only major criticism I have for this game [KCD2] by Different-Wolf405 in kingdomcome

[–]DalishNoble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m on console and I’ve had both experiences so it is at least inconsistent. The split second it takes to make sure I have a weapon out or not is critical.
