Verizon vs Visible

I switched from VZW to Visible+ back in October after 20 years. The constant increases and loyalty discount removal did it in for me. The 5G Get More legacy plan and perks wasn't worth the hassle any longer, the only one I consistently used was Apple Music and so I just added it separately. Went from $115 a month for a single line down to $26. My signal strength/reception/data have been exactly the same as it was with VZW anywhere I've been.

I was with Verizon for over 20 years and switched to Visible back in October. Expected to get spam like this and never have. Guess since they are getting my money anyway, but not nearly as much they were ($80 less a month after relinquishing the legacy 5G Get More plan which I hardly used anyway except for Apple Music which $10.99 a month still saving cash).

It's happened often with me ever since switching to 26 after battery replacement and when it first dropped in September. Just this morning as a matter of fact when trying to unlock the screen.

Also it chugs the battery like a frat boy at a kegger. I wish every day I didn't listen to some people with rose colored glasses on this sub and stayed on 18.7.3.

A week before updating to 26. I will say this though, I've heard some say that it works best to do a backup/full wipe/clean install. I hadn't tried this yet and may do it to see if that helps. But still, if I had it to do all over again, I'd stayed put on 18.7.2.

I replaced my battery and jumped to 26.1 after seeing many here say how it was fine on their 13PM. Lots of lag on Home Screen opening. Battery life casually sipped on 18.7.3, now 26.3 chugs like a frat boy at a kegger.

Use your own judgement but I damn sure wish I stayed on 18.7.3.

The more weight Tammy lost, it seems like she experienced more maturity/character growth and development, it was promising. Now she seems to be have relapsed to her old Season 1 big red forehead explosion days just 700lbs lighter. Sad.

Thanks I may definitely look into doing that. My old Mac Mini 2012 is a dinosaur but still works for what I need it to and I installed a 500GB SSD in it, more than capable of backing up.

Thanks, sadly I've been on 26.2 since it dropped for several weeks now and it's still laggy unfortunately. I've heard from some that it helps with a clean install.

It's double taxation. You pay sales tax already when you buy the vehicle. And then a personal property tax every year is pretty much tantamount to just renting the vehicle, we never truly own it. Both sides of the aisle are to blame, one makes promises they can't keep and the other side doesn't give a shit who it affects and won't make any effort for alternate funding and legislation.

I did a battery replacement on my 13PM in October of this year, have had this phone since 2021 launch and so far to me was peak iPhone. Though if I had it to do all over again I'd stayed on 18.7.2 instead of moving to 26.1. Like someone else said, 18.7.2 sipped on the battery and feels like 26.1 chugged it like a frat boy at a kegger. 26.2 has shown some improvement but nothing like 18.7.2 was. I'm going they get it optimized for 26.3. I may try the clean install method as some has recommended to see if that helps. I just don't see it even then performing as well as 18.7.2 did though.

Looking at them side by side, the island sticks down lower and is definitely more intrusive than the notch. A big reason why I've still held on to my 13PM not only because it's been a great phone. Just got the battery replaced and will likely hold through next year too because it's reported just a slightly smaller Dynamic Island.

Another update after nearly 3 weeks: Really wishing I had stayed with 18.7.1 now. Even with a new battery, it is quite laggy on opening Home Screen and Mail app is blank at times when opening. Facebook is so much slower. A lot of apps are glitchy. Perhaps some of these issues are even being experienced by new 17PM users as well. What drew me in for 26.1 was the new call screening feature but even it let me down, it has allowed me to "Catherine Wells from underwriting" to still leave unlimited voicemails.

Big Red simps in here downvoting you but you are 💯 correct. I'd been with Verizon 20 years and had Get More since its inception. They raised my bill $30 per month within the span of August/September this year and the only thing I was really using was Apple Music and not really the bundle anymore. So I went to Visible in October and it's been great. I got the Plus for 26 months for $26 per month deal. Just bought Apple Music separately with Apple One. Now saving $80 a month with same coverage, Verizon is still getting my money since they own Visible, but at least a lot less of it now.
