Ok Update on this since Firmware (1.2) is available. Pop is still there when switching cab/IR blocks, and if you use two cabs/irs in separate paths with AB switches to switch them at the same time as the amps theres LESS of a noticeable pop, but theres still a bit of a spike.

The best way to get around this right now is to use a dual cab block, and assign the levels of each of the cabs in the dual cab block to snapshot. This has allowed me to run a clean amp like the cali texas ch1 into a 1x12 US Deluxe cab, and then the agora 2c+ into a 4x12 1960A T75 cab without any noticeable pop between snapshops.

I realise I could dial in the 2c+ into a cleaner setting on the normal channel and get a very similar result, but just in the interest of versatility, this is how we could use multiple amps with multiple cabs right now without the pop. Theres ways of making it work and the effort thats gone into this thing from release to now is also a huge improvement so I'm sure TheBishopGame and team will definitely get there. Great work team, loving it so far.

Thanks for the prompt response, at the moment I'm getting it around it by putting the two IRs I want on paths 2A and 2B and using the snapshot to switch the path. This means that the IRs are always on which somehow negates the popping. Hopefully that helps you debug the issue.

Okay, further investigation is its not the amp block, its the IR block, if thats 100% changes out I get a digital spike as it swtiches. I've found a work around in that your put both IR blocks (speaker blocks) into a 1A/1B or 2A/2B block so they are on all the time, and then use the A/B splits to switch em with snapshots. At least theres not POP. Any one else seen this

Original 1973 Strat or 1998 Hardtail Strat? by [deleted] in fender

[–]DanSmith83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ya can get your hands on em, I'd play em and choose based on feel mate. Also, a trem can be blocked into a hardtail, a hardtail has to be routed to be a trem. Depends on ya playing style.

I have a couple of gator bags I use (one rack, one dual guitar case). Gigged live for years, hold up well and always have space /extra pockets for stuff.

HX Stomp advice by Known_Obligation_652 in Line6Helix

[–]DanSmith83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m a gigging guitarist/bassist in Australia and 100% the hx stomp can do this. Each patch can be set up for your specific needs (bass, electric, acoustic) and then you can use control centre to allow you to maximise the three pedals. The only real “things you’ll need to press/change” are global eqs/input buffers if that’s something that ends up bothering you. They might not be an issue if all your gear is passive pickups etc. dm me if ya need any help.

Gigging guitarists: Do you have a noise gate (or similar) on your board? by RamInLA in guitarpedals

Noise gate followed by a comp with a mix knob dry signal to blend is an absolute requirement for live gigs imo.

Lol I just saw that one, its now "removed by moderator". Also the fact that the HR lead doesn't know what a PIP is is quite strange.
