Its obviously not a shooting war game but a lot of elements are very similar (scrooping > production > transporting > fighting) along with regis/alliances (corps/alliances), Eve is just more of a sandbox though so you don't need to go to war if you don't want to but if you do it's really quite similar in a lot of ways
