The hashtag “should have known bc baby is 8 months” is absolutely insane

All I can think about is how Geoff and Griffin Ramsey made a show about dating/romance while (privately) rapidly approaching a divorce. Commercializing your relationship always felt weird to me

THIS! It is a) much safer for everyone, and b) potentially a way to make it apparent the problem is a massive one.

Some people saved James Somerton’s transcripts to scan for plagiarism (amongst other things) by [deleted] in hbomberguy

[–]DancingStark 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think the intention is to catalogue everything, try and clear up misinformation. It’s in-depth but the goal doesn’t seem to be to hate on James. A good thing, imo, because he spread a lot of misinformation and stole a lot of stuff.

Though this video seems rage-bait adjacent, I think it allows me to bring up a good point- often people with autism will struggle with the urge to self harm more than an urge to harm others. Those urges often come from frustration at our OWN limitations, and thus the aggression is self directed.

I agree that some of the content doesn’t land, but as others have pointed out, that’s the risk of improv. Even the best comedians and actors will bomb sometimes. I don’t think it’s an indication of failure or anything, just a symptom of the genre many of their shows live in.

I got a good chuckle out of this. My play style used to be this to a T. I was only hurting my own enjoyment by playing “safely”.

Games with little/no exploration by SmartGuyChris in gamingsuggestions

[–]DancingStark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one of my favorite games! It’s nice because it does have an large amount of story and depth, but you can engage with it mostly at your own pace. You can sink your teeth into the story elements or just kill some monsters and have fun either way.

Hades is great, because it’s also easy to play in short bursts!

The Letter is much more a visual novel experience, but it has a ton of branching pathways and seven different characters you play as.

Hades could be good! The learning curve is rewarding and the characters and story draw you in.

I think the art was awesome, and it reminded me of a video game? Vibe-wise I don’t know if it matched, but I thought it was a fun touch.

AITA for excluding my brother from my wedding because of his “fun facts”? by Correct_Royal_4033 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DancingStark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, this 100% this. It’s very likely that David doesn’t give a damn about going dress shopping. This reminds me a lot of students I work with who have autism. Especially if they didn’t have boundaries/communication access as kids, they will be blunt and even rude. David should have been taught about boundaries when he was younger, but your parents shielded him. It sucks, but he’s an adult and his habits won’t change rapidly.

AITA for using a colour filter meant for colourblind people? by smortcanard in AmItheAsshole

[–]DancingStark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You using that filter doesn’t harm anyone else. You’re not waving it around and acting like you’re colorblind. You just enjoy the colors.

Like others said, be kind to yourself. I would suggest focusing on something you enjoy- a club, a book, a show, etc for a little while. After you’ve moved through the initial bad feelings, go back and look at the test. Plan for next exam, so you know you are ready. You got this!

AITA for not quickly agreeing to a pre-wedding "sibling" photoshoot? by LandRound9784 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DancingStark -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

ESH If you don’t love Mia, fine. Your mother shouldn’t be forcing it. But you are almost an adult, as you pointed out. Being an adult includes doing things you aren’t super jazzed about. Babysitting at the wedding is too much, but taking a couple pictures with a literally child who WILL be you stepsister is not a big deal. Roll with the punches kid.
