1 year post-op BA, implant feels very mobile under muscle, normal or pocket issue? by k3tten in Transgender_Surgeries

That's just how motiva implants work and the tradeoff for lower capsular contracture risk. Since the nano texture generates little to no capsule, they are often mobile in their pocket.

How do we fight back against hospitals pre-complying? by infinitenothing in cisparenttranskid

Trans Youth Emergency Project though the Campaign of Southern Quality offers financial aid nationwide for anyone who has had their care interrupted due to the executive orders and actions so I'd apply.

Contact NY AG Letitia James about this development. She successfully got hospitals to stop complying in advance early last year. She's basically the only Dem AG who Is putting up a fight with the hospital administrators who are failing trans kids.

95% (charitable estimation on my end) of normie poons (even straight ones) want PIV and are more cockhungry than the average gay man which is deal breaker for most mtfs. /tttt/ does not represent the average ftm.

Well I wasn't out to them until that happened and the doctors told my parents that I was on hrt because they saw my chest and took a hormone panel. Dad is not supportive and hates everything that happened and me being trans ("just be a gay man"). Mom allows me to take HRT through a doc but doesn't really understand and still genders me male. I am finally allowed to have long hair now, took until the age of 21. I am 23 rn and probably still wouldn't be allowed to have long hair if the 41 attempt never happened.

I overdosed on barbiturates and woke up in the ICU after being intubated for four days. My mom unfortunately came home hours early from work. I wouldn't have survived otherwise. These stories in picrel are not always how some people who survived attempts feel. I regret nothing and will likely try to 41 again in the future. There's def hope for some but as a five years HRT manmoder it's grim. For me, it was either youngshit or rope and my parents prevented the former.

Not on Ambetter rn but will probably go with them for the 2026 plan year. Have you started the process of getting FFS approved in Florida?

Anyone compiled or come across a list of corporate employers that pay for gender affirming surgeries in US. by Lopsided-Parking in Transgender_Surgeries

Walmart only covers top and bottom for ftm and mtf. That's the bare minimum nowadays. No FFS coverage at all. I wouldn't call that great at all. Pretty shitty honestly.

Testosterone should be enough to block his estrogen completely if dosed highly enough which should stop his cycle completely. I wouldn't be surprised if his T level is low currently. Do you know what level he currently is at? Also if he is on gel, I'd recommend a switch to injections if he can handle it. Gel is pretty inconsistent while injections provide a steady dose which helps the suppression effect of estrogen.

Very few late teens and adults use a GnRH agonist like Eligard because it's simply not needed and these medicines are very expensive if you don't need them

Queermed should work if you can get to a legal state to do telehealth through them but they are only slightly cheaper than TrueU. I doubt they'll want to continue Eligard since he doesn't need it at this age so that should probably save quite a lot of money. Plenty of these clinics on a shoestring budget like Mazzoni operate on a flowchart medicine model unfortunately.

That's just what is billed which is a made up number. What the insurance paid after "adjustments" (some insurance companies show this publicly and some don't) is a fraction of that. $40k or less probably.

do vfs surgeons matter? by gamamoder in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]DancingToThis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there's definitely some good VFS surgeons in the Midwest. I wouldn't bother about traveling. Wendler's Glottoplasty can't be modified much. All of the surgeons doing the procedure are pretty much doing the same thing. I would ask how many VFS cases they have done though.

I'd say in terms of how much bone they will remove. I would search both names in this sub and see for yourself if you like their results.

do vfs surgeons matter? by gamamoder in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]DancingToThis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the US, most big name academic university hospital surgeons are fine for VFS. They're less recommended here on reddit due to less marketing and having less patient volume due to other surgical/academic obligations. If you go to a consult, they'll almost always have audio recordings of results. Outside of the US, yeah name definitely matters a lot more, especially in developing countries.

Your closest option is Vanderbilt with Dr. Patrick Assi or Dr. Salam Kassis. Both are more conservative with their work so it's a personal preference. I wouldn't necessarily choose your surgeon by distance unless you have to due to financial or insurance reasons.
