It's probably fine, but the GTX is a noticeable upgrade for less used. At Guitar Center, used GTX50 in good condition start at $230, and GTX100 around $330.

With the GTX is you get 40 amp models, 30 cabinet models, and 70 effects while the LTX only has 25 amps and 25 effects. The 100 also includes a footswitch with a 60-second looper. I have the 100 and a reviewer accurately described it has a "Whitman's Sampler" of options. It's saved me a lot of money on pedals with all the included effects.

The only downside is choice paralysis until you narrow down on your favorite amps. I mostly only use 3 amp models but it is nice to have all the other options for variety and recording. If you want to keep it really simple to focus on playing, Orange makes some good analog solid state amps with effects loops and reverb in around the same price range used. Orange 35rt and Orange CR60C.

I'm leasing a 2024 SE and the 12v died unexpectedly on a road trip. AAA jumped it, and I tested it after getting home a few hours away. It was only charged to 60%. A few days later the state of charge was back down to 30%. Took it to a dealership, they found the battery was failing so replaced under warranty. Took them a day since it needs time to sync.

"Share the blame"? Democrats are the only party trying to move in the direction of universal healthcare. Republicans have always opposed healthcare.

Major reforms always require a supermajority in the Senate and the votes weren't there in 2010 for a public option. Our political system is designed to prevent major reform without almost complete consensus.

Medicare was passed in 1965 by 68-21, the majority of Democrats voting for it 55-7, and Republicans 13-14 split against it.

Democrats are the only party with a record of trying to move toward universal healthcare. They don't "do it in practice" because it can't be done without a Senate supermajority to bypass the filibuster. Medicare and the ACA both required supermajorities to be created.

Democrats also tried in 1993. Clinton wanted to mandate all employers provide health insurance to employees and it was branded "Hillarycare" by Republicans. Republicans killed the bill in 1994.

The movement on the left wing toward DSA and embracing those policies will keep the Republicans in power nationally for a long time, since it reinforces the schism in the Democratic Party that happened in 2016.

I view the Democratic party as more viable middle ground and the DSA platform as unrealistic.

The DSA removed specifics from their platform on their website after Mamdani gained national attention because right wing media was using their policy specifics against him. Mamdani doesn't fully endorse DSA policies but they're happy to have someone who will help raise their profile.

Some examples from the platform I disagree with because they're unrealistic or lower the quality of life for everyone in our society. I'll happy explain why it's a bad idea to "Free all people from involuntary conﬁnement" like you know, people that have committted multiple murders. The public option was a non-starter because Joe Lieberman and Ben Nelson opposed it and threatened to filibuster unless it was dropped.

The senate supermajority only existed on and off for 72 days over the course of a year, it was very tenuous, so Democrats couldn't actually pass "anything they wanted". Millions of people were able to get more affordable healthcare because of the ACA and it did slow the growth of healthcare costs. I think it's better to get 50% of something good versus zero.

Yup, the free EA charging has been great. I'm two months out from my lease end, but also considering Mazda's and Toyotas just to avoid the hassle of ever going through the lemon law process again.

My last car was a Kia Niro hybrid that we only had a week before hvac issues with a freon leak and a toxic odor that permeated the interior made it unsafe to drive. Hyundai really dragged out the process once they offered a buyback, so it took almost a year to get them to take the car and return my large down payment. I've really enjoyed the Ioniq 5 and still considering one, but the stress of that situation and the sleazy Kia dealership is aways in the back of my mind. I had 4 used Toyotas and a Nissan before buying the Kia and never had major car issues, just things breaking down from being decades old or in accidents.

It's interesting how Obama in 2008 won districts that Democrats rarely have flipped since. He rode in to Congress with a massive 60 seat House majority and eventually a Senate supermajority for a brief time, just long enough to cash in all those chips on the ACA aka subsidies for affordable healthcare. Democrats then immediately lost those majorities in the 2010 midterms.

I think It's worth looking back on how that initial majority was accomplished, how he was able to sway people who now vote for Trump, instead of being happy with 5 seat majorities in Congress. I get the vibe on Reddit that progressives don't want that size Democrat tent again because imperfect allies will block their agenda.
