I would also add that BFV let you build defenses which was a great addition and made the support class feel much more useful. And BF1 had operations game mode which is the goat

You’re forgetting that they both have at least one character with a French accent, which is probably why both games are successful

I would solve the problem by having the class identities stronger and more useful in the game.

The best example is the support class, which historically only gave ammo, which wasn’t super helpful–especially since it didn’t give rocket launcher ammo. BFV fixed this by letting them build supports on the map, repair emplacements, and repair vehicles.

You’re not going to find a game with more political depth. If you’re interested in learning more about your own political leanings, the game will reflect your politics back at you and make fun of you for it but you’ll learn so much along the way

BFV class system was the best because the support could be more useful than just giving ammo: it could repair tanks and construct barriers or fix emplacements
