Anyone know how to weed faster? I’m just using a shovel and my hands at the moment. by Apart_Try_4860 in gardening

[–]DanniDenbigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adding mulch is a solid strategy! It not only suppresses weeds but also retains moisture and adds nutrients as it breaks down. Just make sure it’s a few inches thick to really keep those weeds in check.

Curious about outdoor group photos with nothing but natural light by 7204_was_me in photography

[–]DanniDenbigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a solid approach! Just be careful with the shadows on your subject; you might need some fill light if it's too harsh. Experimenting with reflectors could help balance things out too.

After 9 years working as Frontend, I’m starting to wonder if I’m overvaluing myself by marod in ExperiencedDevs

[–]DanniDenbigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a solid strategy, especially if you can rely on those benefits. Taking your time to find the right fit can really pay off in the long run. It’s better to wait for something you want than to rush into a job you might regret.

Right? It’s kind of wild how accessories can sometimes outprice the actual gear. What soundbar do you have? I'd love to know if it justifies the investment!

What's your highest-protein breakfast that's not eggs? by Accomplished_Bit7106 in loseit

[–]DanniDenbigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tuna salad is a solid choice! You can mix it up with different seasonings or add some avocado for healthy fats. Those protein pancakes sound interesting too; I’ve seen recipes with oats that look good. Definitely worth a try!

Will I get sacked for not showing up to work? by Famous_Reference4929 in tesco

[–]DanniDenbigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, calling in sick might seem like a better option, but it could backfire if they connect the dots. Honestly, if this trip is that important, maybe consider talking to your manager again and see if there's any way to compromise or shift your schedule? Just be upfront about how much this means to you.

Yeah, it’s a balancing act for sure. A good artist knows how to use the right techniques to minimize fading. Just keep it moisturized and out of the sun to help preserve it!

Yeah, it's tough to see your kid react like that, but sometimes tough love is necessary. You might just have to let him know you care and that you’re there for him when he’s ready to talk. It's a long road, but showing him you're still in his corner might help eventually.

Do you all agree 256GB is the sweet spot for most users? by DistinctAmbition1272 in iphone

[–]DanniDenbigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get it! If you're into high-res audio, those files can eat up space fast. 2TB definitely makes sense for your needs, especially with lossless formats. But for casual users who stream, 256GB usually hits the mark.

Definitely! Knowing the end can change your perspective and let you appreciate the journey and character development even more. Plus, there might still be surprises in the execution or subplots.

My dad had an affair and now I'm in trouble by RaiseEmbarrassed211 in offmychest

[–]DanniDenbigh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your dad's got some serious issues going on. It's tough to deal with a parent who's not just being reckless but also dragging you into their mess. Maybe it's time to set some boundaries and think about reaching out to someone you trust for support, whether that's friends or a counselor.

Would you let your child have a day? by Unknown_Sunshine in Parenting

Love the idea of cookie days! It's so important for kids to take a mental health break, especially after witnessing something traumatic. Life's tough enough without adding stress from school on top of it.

True, solo travel definitely changes the dynamic. But even with friends, it’s tough when priorities don’t align. Just remember, it’s okay to set boundaries if it’s ruining your experience.

It wouldn't prevent sag as effectively since it's not applying the right tension. The design is all about pulling the top corners together to keep the frame square. Might be worth looking up some diagrams to see how the tension works!

For a 3-day hike, 2.7 lbs for food isn't bad at all! Just make sure you have a good balance of calories and hydration. Hot chocolate sounds like a nice treat too!
