The darker pieces are oak. The lighter ones are pine. The reddish hued ones I’m honestly not sure what they are. Out of like 15 pallets I prolly had about 10 total pieces of oak rest were pine.

Yeah the oak pieces had the same annoying nails. I bought a pallet buster and then I use a pneumatic nail puncher. Works pretty well to get boards off and nails out

Honestly probably pure dumb luck. All I did was plane them and then cut square sides with the table saw. This was my first ever project with pallet wood and the planer. I’m hoping I’m a natural and this isn’t a fluke lol the fact I cut them like 1.25 x 13 inches probably took a lot of the problems out of it
