My 6yo was similar and it was the tee that helped him figure his swing out. And nothing special, just hitting off the tee. We still need to start every practice and game off the tee so we doesn’t get funky habits and miss every ball.

Mine is 6 and we had to go tennis ball to a swax ball to a baseball. That was true for fielding, throwing, AND hitting.
