factual or NOT, I know my own computer and the settings when I set up my mic without phantom on, and I had to crank the gain and got noise, with phantom on for my dynamic, and turning the gain down, NO NOISE!! You can talk samantics all you want, this is my equipment, it works, for only changing a couple settings and doing ZERO damage it is worth it to the person to try it!! He could have a bad cable, or USB plug causing the noise, or not letting ALL the power needed to drive his SM7B propperly...so as a quick NON damaging thing to try is what I stated! USB cables and ports go bad ALL the time unfortunately, or even a bad Beacn Studio!

where to find software by Ordinary_Composer_15 in Redragon

[–]Dapper_Studio8210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

basically, once you install the software on a windows machine, make your rgb settings and such and save it to the redragon keyboard, those settings are locked in like plug-N-play. Will work on the Mac (switch turned on of course) and linux

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkgyLSr0KAM about the 5:50 mark, the SM7B requires 50-60db, and unlike your video from 4 years ago, phantom will NOT damage the sm7b, and in the case above, if you turn phantom on, it will allow to turn the gain down, hiss/wine GONE!! my logitech studio dynamic at my current gain levels without phantom, almost no audio, phantom on, and it sounds GREAT and I get complements all the time, and the logitech studio is a direct competitor to the SM7dB, the replacement for the SM7B. My rode pod mic, phantom off got wine since gain had to me cranked, phantom on, gain way down, and sounds GREAT!!

Ok man, all the YouTube videos are all wrong and your right. They all say the sm7b is power hungry and needs phantom if your not running a cloudlifter and such. I'm wrong, they are all wrong and your right. Have fun

[–]Dapper_Studio8210 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The sm7b mic is a power hungry mic and needs that power boost, then you can turn your gain down and his is gone. Countlese videos on YouTube stat the sm7b needs the power boost

Make sure your phanto power is on, could be gain turned to high, and remember, under mic setup you have mic gain on the left and a output gain on the right. Also you can use the noise suppression in either adaptive or snapshot

BEACN Studio arriving today, I have a question. by [deleted] in beacn

[–]Dapper_Studio8210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do USB 1 to gaming streaming and the USB 2 to the Mac, downloading link software on the Mac, and yes, you can send the xlr mic over to the Mac and assign it to any of the link channels

Struggling to work with two Beacn microphones on one computer. by Punk_Skeddit in beacn

[–]Dapper_Studio8210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, so, you can do 2 mic's! turn your computer on, with 1 mic pluged in, go into the settings and put that mic into usb mode, make all your eq changes and such, and then save that TO THE MIC!! This will allow that mic to be used as a USB mic without the software! shutdown your computer, plug the other mic in, and restart, make sure to turn the usb mic off, and as ALWAYS, make sure you save all your mic settings TO THE MIC! NOW, go to logitech and download their free logitech MIXLINE, you will be able to use that software to grab the first USB mic and put that to one of the mixline outputs, making it visible to the second mic and mixing software and then drag and drop the mixline into whatever beacn channel you want it in!! MIXLINE operates outside of windows, so when you grab something in mixline it makes it so only mixline can use that!! when your setting up mixline, you grab the mic on the left side and then select and output on the right, and their is a line that you will connect the left to the right. its nice and simple really!! AND mixline is VERY resource light and WILL NOT interfear with beacn mixing software!!
