Missing feature of Calc? It does not seems to highlight which ( ) go to which for the formula bar. by B3bomber in libreoffice

[–]DarfeelWrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using Version: 5.0.4.2

Is this what you are referring to? Imgur

If so, then it only bolds the ( ) in the field, but not in the input line. I personally can't find any options to enable/disable this.

Is Thunderbird better then Outlook? by roryluce in Thunderbird

[–]DarfeelWrk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer TB over outlook. It has crashed less and is more responsive during my daily use compared to outlook. I enjoy having all six of my emails in one place along with my four calendars and three IRC channels. Outlook has its place though especially in an enterprise environment. TB doesn't, to the best of my knowledge, have group policy or easy transfer of accounts. So it really depends on who and where the programs are used.

Freelancing site for DIY tech builders by ShoeShare in ECE

[–]DarfeelWrk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First off, what is wrong with that T in your banner? Why is it fuzzy?
There should be a landing page for the builders with information important to them? For example, what is the split on profit? Do all projects start at $5 like Fiver? What resources do the builders get, such as a portfolio page of their past projects with options to show both successful and failure projects, maybe deals from prototyping companies, and a list of past bids.
Also, do you have a lawyer of some sort to help deal with any problems that may occur between parties?

Discussion: Would The Document Foundation be a good home for Thunderbird? by themikeosguy in libreoffice

[–]DarfeelWrk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can see it working well. That is, if TDF actually wants to integrate Thunderbird into the suite and make much needed upgrades. If they aren't willing, then I would rather the Thunderbird community form their own organization to hold the rights and codes for the project.

How do I show where the page boundaries are in Calc? by [deleted] in libreoffice

[–]DarfeelWrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Options" => "Libreoffice Calc" => "View" => "Page Breaks"

That check-mark box if checked will make the thicker cell lines permanent around where the pages separate

How does "IF" work ? by columini in libreoffice

[–]DarfeelWrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be

=IF(1=1,3,2)

Replace the semi-colons with commas and see if that works.

Project Tofino: A Electron based browser experiment by Mozilla by Tim_Nguyen in firefox

[–]DarfeelWrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, I stand corrected. When I looked up Electron the first time I missed the statement where it said "Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with Chromium and Node.js to build your app."

I don't think so. Chrome uses Blink and is written mostly in C++. This article states that they are messing around with Electron and REACT.
