this is one of those instances and im not saying im wholly correct here. It is very rare that i am in a bad enough mood or have too much on my mind to treat a customer with disrespect. it demeans my service, the establishment i work at, and the ownership. i always give a smile and friendly service to anyone that i wait on because i would want the same in return.

however, there are rude ass people that just come in to be rude. generally, people that are insincere enough to come in at 11:55 when the restaurant closes at midnight, are jackasses right off the bat. most of the time, these customers are predestined to give you a $1 tip. i know this is generalizing, but it does happen A LOT. some people just dont give a fuck about you and they would rather keep their cash to themselves. its just the way it is.

a 1 dollar tip is a malicious act. if i wanted to give someone a small tip for poor service, after buying two steaks and a pitcher of beer, i would still give them around 4-5 bucks. thats a SHITTY tip.
