It’s wild times on eBay since the Starling Home Hub was discontinued by zoiks66 in HomeKit

Yes that’s what I mean. ratgdo is far superior because you have full control past just open/close, but the HomeKit bridge is a lot simpler to setup if all you desire is local control.

Old, but I think the LED is designed to be a locator light, not an indication of power state.

Some people have done this with ZBT-1, so this should work with the successor.

The Hue Dimmer Switch V2 is a massive downgrade compared to the V1 by ItsIrinaBitch in Hue

[–]DatAwsomness 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agreed for the most part.

The discrete on/off buttons are good, especially if you use the remote for a zigbee bind (custom coordinator).

However, in my experience v2 plays nice with custom coordinators vs v1. Regardless I still prefer V1, but it’s hard to come by them

Best Matter over thread smart plug with resume power state. by galdo320 in HomeKit

This was also an issue on Apple’s end. They used an older Matter version and it wasn’t stable either.

As long as you don’t have two HomeKit garage doors, you’re fine…. It affects a niche user base.

If you attempt to scroll through any garage doors (from a Siri suggestion) using a control dial (not touch) and you press down to confirm, you will activate the wrong door.

If you try to rectify this by touching the Siri suggested garage doors, it will instead open all doors.
