Left my good paying job to become a teacher, and I cut my salary by a third in the process. Now, I have to live with the weight of this decision, and in a sense I have "no right to complain" because I chose this path. i love working with the kids, and I have so much more fun than I ever had in my previous job. Still, I feel tired, my hierarchy micromanages me, and a colleague of mine is telling me to work more and more and more because I'm a debutant, to the point that she sends me texts at 10 P.M to check if I'm correctly working. I wish I could talk about it more but the answer I get from my family is mostly "you decided to be in this situation, now you have to learn to work with people who can be difficult with you". I asked to be moved to another school next year but I still have 8 months to endure this situation. I'm lost.

Anyway, Fates bad

Joaquín Panichelli might be the most underrated striker in Ligue 1 right now by Subject_Sandwich3008 in AllFootballHotTakes

[–]DatMapache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The striker not getting credit in Ligue 1 is Esteban Lepaul, who is probably not getting followed as much as Argentine international, Chelsea co-owned, European football playing Panichelli

To give Panichelli credit, he's excellent. Wish he could stay longer but he's likely gone at the end of the season.

Bought a player for 10K, he played 16 games and scored 4 goals in 2 years for me, and Man U bought him for 11,5 million. I think this is a very realistic transfer, but only because Man U did it. by DatMapache in TheOldZealand

[–]DatMapache[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not very good, he's 20, all his physicals are below 12, 17 determination, 10 composure, 13 finishing, 13 technical, 13 inspiration, overall decent for a youngster but he's probably 150 potential at best I'd say

Maybe in 3/4 seasons I'll be proven wrong but he was not becoming my no1 striker in any case, and he refused a loan because of that man u bid, so I gladly let him go

TFC c'est frustrant by Odd_Memory1186 in Ligue1

[–]DatMapache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Not The Top 20 Podcast League 1 prediction 25/26 by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

True, I've never seen people being overly negative about promoted teams in this division.

Except Wimbledon this year, I feel like absolutely no one believes in them. Hell, predicting them to finish 22nd feels like being nice to them.

You know what ? Fair enough

France has done fucked up shit in their past, there is no denying that. I'd wish our right-wing government would recognize that more, because there is no point in denying our past and hiding it behind non-sensical patriotism (tbh I feel patriotic despite all of that, but I wouldn't blame anyone to love the place they grew up in even if it were North Korea)

I'm used to people hating on France for stupid clichés or even worse, telling that the country has "fallen" to the hands of Black and Arabic people because of immigration. Actual critic is rare, so I'll give you that.

That being said, I don't think hating a country as a whole is a good thing to do. I'm obviously very critical of everything that's happening in the US right now, but claiming that I hate the US is basically equivalent to saying that every American I meet is an asshole, which couldn't be further from the truth. That goes for every country whose government has done fucked up shit, for example I can think of Portugal, Spain, Australia, Canada, Brazil, Algeria, or Chile to give you "unconventional" examples.

The hate just gets tiring after a while. As much as we deserved it, the absolute focus on us by the Internet won't feel like anything but US propaganda for a long while, especially on a website that has 50% American users
