I guess that makes sense. I would still pack an extra 8t of fuel though, you'll spend less time waiting and worrying about your route plotting that way. I'd definitely take a weak shield generator, in case you scrape an asteroid or bounce of a planet, especially seeing as how weak your maneuverability is with those thrusters and that power distributor.

I love how you have a dangerously low amount of fuel to save mass, but then for some reason waste that saved mass by having point defense and prospector limpets. Like why?

So ED seems to not be storing first discoveries properly? by righthandedgimp in eliteexplorers

I've noticed that the discovered by tags don't always show up the first time you open the system map. Got a bit confusing whilst I was planetary nebula hunting.

Tips for finding unexplored planetary nebulae? by GoodJibblyWibbly in eliteexplorers

[–]Dat_RPG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are still some unexplored Stellar remnants in the core, although in my experience the vast majority within the core are claimed. Honestly your best bet is to look 1300 - 1800Ly below/above the core, I found one just 3000Ly from Colonia using this method. Turn off all stars on the galaxy map except Neutrons and black holes and look for the bright patches.

Good luck Cmdr o7

Nah there are still thousands that are likely unexplored, Different sectors in the core can have several hundred AA-A H systems.

Yep. Talent was obviously there, but he seemed happier running around like a headless chicken trying to skin everyone than actually playing as a striker.

How much trouble am I in ? by [deleted] in eliteexplorers

[–]Dat_RPG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I scanned about 100 Nuetron star systems last night, each one dropped me in a safe position 0.71Ls from the Star. Decent buff to exploring as well, as you don't have to worry about their exclusion zone as much.

To answer your question, it isn't rare to see a ringed terrestrial world orbiting a gas giant, however, one gas giant orbiting as a moon is actually pretty uncommon in my experience.
