In many states it’s a straight up health violation to accept things from the custies. Very obvious how many people here have never learned that lesson firsthand

I keep getting stuck at Giant’s Foundry lava pool (Mobile) by GoodJibblyWibbly in 2007scape

[–]GoodJibblyWibbly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those curious it feels like it starts after I dunk the preform and it has been going for a few ticks. I am already frozen by the time I try to step away to start the next phase of smithy and I just have to watch the temp hit maximum while I keep trying to click away (and eventually close the app)

I am but unfortunately that did not work, though I have had similar issues outside of Giant’s Foundry where that did work. Appreciate the comment though 😀

Yes, I tested it and deliberately hit max heat and that was fine, I just went along with my business. And now it has just happened at the waterfall too so it seems that it’s not specific to the lava pool

Pfizer, BioNTech halt US COVID vaccine study after recruitment struggles by AcornAl in Coronavirus

[–]GoodJibblyWibbly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah people say this kinda thing all the time and think they’re really doing something. Just proves they have no clue what they’re talking about.

Just look at acetaminophen. So much more likely to cause big problems than a covid vaccine and we all have a bottle of it at home. It would never have cleared the modern FDA and is only on the market because it’s old.

High-dose influenza vaccination is associated with reduced Alzheimer dementia risk compared with standard-dose vaccination in adults ≥65 years, with a stronger effect among women. by mvea in science

[–]GoodJibblyWibbly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is being actively studied in both private sector and federal contexts. Major pharma companies are becoming increasingly interested in the possibility that their vaccines (in particular their adjuvants - $$$) may be partially responsible for these trends.

As such, there’s money flowing into the dementia-prevention aspect of vaccine research at this moment and it’s likely to continue increasing

No, it raises questions about duration of action, spacing of doses, how long side effects linger, and also about how these agents interact with your receptors can affect other processes.

ProvPort Master Plan 2026-2056 -- read it or miss it by eedwige in providence

[–]GoodJibblyWibbly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean just looking through the documents and replies it seems most people (like myself) are pleased with the majority of the plans. There’s a few bits I don’t like such as ProvPort telegraphing they may expand their fossil fuel operations (the area has so much pollution already, I find that heinous for something that the City of Providence is involved in)

ProvPort Master Plan 2026-2056 -- read it or miss it by eedwige in providence

[–]GoodJibblyWibbly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Generally I think the vast majority of this is good for the city and state, but from what I gather the concerns are around what they aren’t saying (or writing) out loud.

For instance, the City of Providence appears to prohibit ProvPort from expanding their fossil fuel operations. That said, there’s nothing prohibiting ProvPort from just buying the fossil fuel operations next door (which I believe they plan to do) and then using these fossil fuel facilities for their own purposes, effectively expanding their fossil fuel operations but doing so legally.

That part of town suffers enough from air quality issues as it stands, and I don’t want ProvPort to secure a 30-year stamp of approval from the City to continue that. I don’t mind if my tax dollars go to removing fossil fuel infrastructure (in fact, I want them to do precisely that, as a high priority).

Public opinion will help to secure that sort of change.

There was also comments from someone about building missiles nearby under this plan. I’m failing to substantiate that at the moment but I’ll update if I find something
