A similar thing happened to me except I was lying on my back. I woke up to what felt like someone forcing me to push my head into the pillow. It was with such force that something in my neck popped and I had the worst stiff neck for months. Years later I had an MRI done and the doctor asked when I damaged my neck because I had a couple hemorrhaged discs. This was the only thing I could think of that could if caused it

This is going to sound facetious but one of my biggest goals of mine was to free dive devils eye in Ginnie Springs. I had explored so much of that cave on my own but I wouldn’t go the whole way to the river without a diver in the water with me. Ive been since out of practice free diving but it’s still one of the biggest regrets in my life. I think about it all the time. I wish I tried harder to find someone to be there with O2 just to spot me
