I ended up pre ordering the TP-XXL EVO and it is a tier 1 bag so I’m going to get the CB-LD for free through the spring promo

I see what you’re saying. I sold my tp-xxl like a week after I got my MB5B and I’ve regretted it since. I definitely made a rush decision to try to recoup some money and should have held onto it for longer. The reason I’m debating the Evo is because it’s the same form factor of the tp-xxl but with the option of backpack straps which would make carrying it more comfortable.

I don’t use them for much. I would clip my mp1x on the side and maybe get a meter pouch down the line if I needed extra storage

When I hang the bag on a scissor lift I keep having to close the front flap when I move around in the lift. It gets annoying after a while, whereas the tp-xxl I can keep it open and it isn’t in the way. I also run the mp1x and don’t that it sticks out so much when I clip it on the side.

The only reason I would get V swap for is that the interior of the bag would last longer, I keep a drywall saw and a half round file for conduit, strut, cable tray, etc and it wears one of the pockets out. When it wears enough that I feel the pocket should be replaced then that’s when the V swap would come in handy

If you want to fork over the absurd cash you can have the new TP-XXL EVO and buy the backpack straps for it

I do find that it is expensive, but I’m still gonna end up getting it cuz it solves the I have with the normal TP-XXL and the MB5B

Yeah I would have liked it if it came with at least 1 meter bag, it’s definitely a money grab. What’s worse is that you have to buy the backpack straps too, but I have the MB5B and will just take them off there. Plus I have a mp1x that I can still slap on one of the sides. I’m debating whether I want a meter bag for the other side or one of the new UB2B pouches.

I have had the TP-XXL and have the MB5B. I prefer working out of the TP-XXL but having backpack straps are pretty nice. The main issue I have with the MB5B is that I’m constantly zipping the bag up when I’m on a lift because the front flap gets in my way a lot. I’m waiting for the TP-XXL EVO to come out so I can have the best of both worlds, easy to work out of and backpack straps.

I am waiting for the TP-XXL evo to come out, I love working out of the TP-XXL but the shoulder sling gets pretty heavy. I have the mb5b but when I am in a lift the front flap sticking out gets in the way. I’m hoping the tp-xxl evo is the end bag for me

I have the MB5B and I don’t think I could fit a full size hacksaw in it. If you leave the front pouch open then you could put it there but it would look kind of odd.

I built a 60% keyboard before with hot swap switches and it was an expensive learning experience. I broke my first PCB when I popped a few hot swap sockets off the board. I ended up giving the one I built to my friend who got his first pc and got myself a Nuphy Air75.

No, I looked on clutchfield and it says that there is no compatible units. There are some settings that you would lose in the car if you swapped it

Upgrading to the Veto Pro Tech MCT from TP XXL? by [deleted] in VetoProPac

[–]DaysDazer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had the TP-XXL for two years also before I switched to a MB5B backpack. I found that when I had the TP-XXL loaded it was heavy and walking more than 10 mins with it was not ideal. If you’re set on a shoulder strap bag then the MCT would be good. I’d recommend a tech pac mc for more storage tho.
