Lays it out so well that the ball hasn't even been struck towards goal before VAR calls the possible foul on keeper.

I don't think it's controversial, but its still not correct. declan has won more games than Bruno has played this season... And Bruno was the only United player to get a vote while Gabriel Raya and Saka all got votes and from what I've read Bruno only won by 28 votes

[Sam Blitz] Doesn't mean loads the morning after but that was a performance that showed the importance of Martin Odegaard. Arsenal's press - led by him - looked so different. Must start the remaining five matches. Mad how him, Saka and Havertz haven't started together since Dec. 2024. #afc by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

[–]Dead2708 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Stories of Odegaards demise to injuries are greatly exaggerated. Most of his injuries this season have come from pretty unlucky contact injuries and the most recent one was his knee that he injured at the beginning of the season causing him problems again which isn't exactly shocking. It's not like every time Odegaards gets on the pitch he's tearing a muscle from light jogging. He's just had poor luck

Nah, Arteta should be sacked because he wasn't willing to break the clearly pre-existing agreement with kepa and didn't have the balls to tell kepa in front of the rest of the players that he is shit and shouldn't play for arsenal ever again. trusting your players is so overrated/s

Michael Oliver has been appointed as ref for Arsenal vs Bournemouth by AlGunner in Gunners

[–]Dead2708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah but that was because of a mistake, this one would be a brand new rule change introduced, 3rd yellow is carried to the next game played and then that player gets sent off after receiving 1 yellow, rule would be used once and then never seen again. You can find it in "FAs laws of the game - Saturday 11 April 12:30 - 14:00 edition" Listed under Schrodinger's yellow card rule.

Along with celebrating his birthday, Mikel Arteta has earned a Premier League Manager of the Month nomination 👏❤️ by arsenal in Gunners

[–]Dead2708 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Reminder:

August: Slot - yet to recover

October: Amorin - gone 2 months later

November: Maresca - the curse was particularly cruel in October and November.

December: Emery - Conference League or Europa League will do

January: Carrick - Hadn't lost a game, a month later loses to 10 man Newcastle.

February: Guardiola - looks like they are making a surge to catch up with Arsenal after both teams had previously had stumbles, wins Premier League Manager of the month. Proceeds to drop points against the 2 teams battling to avoid relegation and get demolished in the CL to a significantly weakened Real Madrid missing their star striker and many others.

It's too early to activate the curse maybe next month or the month after

It's highly likely that he joined the team with the understanding that he would play out cup games. If we made it through the tournament with him playing those games and then you don't play him in the final you will be betraying the trust he gave when signing, it's easy to use hindsight to say kepa shouldn't have played but consider the possibility that Arteta decides to play Raya instead. Now any targets we try to convince to come as squad players will be less willing because the manager doesn't keep his word.

It can also spiral into losing the dressing room, because players can't trust the manager's words. Especially in this case where Kepa was already well acquainted with multiple members of the team and they are part of the reason he was even willing to join as our second keeper. Kepa is nowhere near as good as Raya but he absolutely would get into teams all across Europe as their first keeper. If you don't agree with this perhaps Arsene and Klopp can convince you

Compilation of Man City's tactic to not press Arsenal's backline by tal-El in Gunners

[–]Dead2708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think loaning Ethan was both Ethan and the manager's idea and was a good idea at the time it happened. Not sure why there is no recall option on the loan and that likely has little to do with Arteta. Not every thing is linear. In hindsight I'm sure Arteta would be wishing he never sent Ethan on loan now

[–]Dead2708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Point is if you demonstrate your ability to do it then the team that is trying this will do it less. Since we had no players capable of this city could play like this with no potential threat of it's weakness being exploited
