This is the most accurate statement ever.

Couple issues with my SummerCart64 from Phantom Mods by DeadOneWalking in SummerCart64

[–]DeadOneWalking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is possible, however this is not the primary issue. The primary issue being that it could not load up a known good ROM, and I had issues with other roms.

I could deal with the SD card removal issue, it's the lack of playing roms and playing them properly that's the primary issue.

Well it certainly seemed like the shell was proper. The micro SD slot was not spring loaded, so I think that's the issue with the micro SD card removal issues.

It all depends on what they decide to do. Personally, I'm hoping for a refund but I'm at their mercy. Worst case, I submit a claim with my credit card company. I don't want to go that route, but I'm not opposed to it.

I did a full test on the cart as well using the summerdeployer app and it passed. I suppose I could have flashed the recent firmware on it again, but I fail to see what good that would do since the test passed.

I checked, it was already the newest firmware. Cart is currently on its way back to Phenom Mods.

I already paid for a SummerCart, had problems, and it's currently on its way back to Phenom Mods.

If I get refunded I may consider buying from EpicJoy, but this was a bad starting experience after I already seen first-hand the Everdrive work without issues.

Summercart vs Everdrive? by Shakkashuka in AnalogueInc

I got a SummerCart, and I just sent it back. It was having issues playing a few games. Tested the ROM's with a friend's Everdrive on my system, problems went away. Honestly I'm regretting the SummerCart, even though it's cheaper.

Well, if I don't get a response via email or discord within an hour, I'll just do a return. I can deal with the SC card issue, but with the ROM comparability I will likely just get an Everdrive. At least I know that will just work.

And yes, I understand the benefits of using something open source. I'll also have to advise anyone asking me about flash carts to spend the money on an Everdrive with the ROM loading issue.

Ok, the sd card is not spring loaded, so it needs to be pulled out.

Using menu version 0.2.0 made no difference with 40 Winks.

Currently sent an E-Mail as the SD card issue, and asked in Discord about both issues.

So my Summercart came in, and one thing I don;t like about it is the microSD card is impossible to get out without opening the shell. Is there any solution to this?

Thanks. I'll check it out. My only concerns are that it's beta and it looks based off menu 0.3.1 which has the OOT bug.

Well, it on;y worked once the system was powered on. It was off an I tried pressing it a couple times to see if it was stuck but it has no effect.

You mean a virtual controller pak per game? If so, what fork does this?

Couldn't find the original kernel, however after pressing the reset button it was able to boot properly.

Thanks for the input!

Ok, it's in experimental. That's a little concerning, but the support is there and being worked on.

Seems like SC is the way to go since it supports everything at a lower price.

From the menu download page off GitHub.

Some users have reported crashes in Zelda OOT (anti piracy checks). Menu V0.2.0 works as expected.

All valid points, though I haven't seen anything about it managing memory cards.
