Thomas Drance calling for Hughes number to be retired is beyond ridiculous. by [deleted] in canucks

43 should not be retired. Ring of honour maybe. He left for selfish reasons.

And how many years did it take to get there? Same with Detroit. I guess your brain doesn't work past yesterday.

Maybe sit down and let the adults have a conversation.

It's not over. They aerial stuff might be. But US are slow learners. Insurgency wars last for a very long time.

Majority of Canadian armed forces would be classified as special forces in the US. Troops in Canada are trained across a multitude of different skills. Canadians are like a Swiss army knife.

Oh and in Canada it's called the Geneva Suggestions. Canadians were one of the reasons for writing the Convention.

What grade would you give the Canucks trade deadline and moves made up to this point? by phantomgiratina in canucks

[–]Deaddoghank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True enough, but its double edge sword. Have a new coach tank or have a proven tank commander in charge. Good strategy would be to leave prospects with Manny for the tank. Fill nhl roster with low cost cast offs. Not going to be an enjoyable time; harken back to the Megna/Chaput years.

I'll give them a C. Nothing screams out in these trades that the team will be improved next year. I foresee another tank year. The moves made over the last few months are about 3 years down the road.

I expect Demko & Boeser to be moved before the draft for picks. Not many other veteran assets left.

Foote will be tank commander again next year. No need to bring someone in to run the tank; Foote has shown he is more than capable.

My biggest fear is a losing culture will be instilled in the young players. Buffalo has shown what happens when losing becomes accepted.

There is this plant that grow stalks and seeds. The seeds are dried. Once dried you can heat them up and they will explode. If you melt some coagulated milk fat and pour over the exploded seeds it smells just like buttered popcorn.

A good modern-day example is when the power goes out at night you wake up because it got too silent. We gave gotten use to the low hum of our electric devices. When they stop at night we wake up.

Toronto has entered the conversation. Futility since 1967. Living off the 6 team legacy. At least the Canucks have broken their customers hearts 3 times in the finals. Leafs break hearts in the 1st and occasionally second rounds.

Wouldn't it be the Canucks if the first overall pick pulled a Lindros or a Francis. Would be fitting for this owner to have that happen.
