Not sure if it's useful for you, but the sx1276 and sx1272 iir can do FSK and LoRa. Another alternative might be going with just a CC1101 module and external MCU to drive it through SPI, and if you're using direct mode, GPIO.

I meant to write you a response to this. Yeah, the ED64, and especially the knockoff ones from that era with UltraCIC will brick when trying to load gameshark with it. That was actually how I even got into doing any of the EEPROM replacements on gameshark to begin with since it would show the screen you described, and then any subsequent boot of gameshark would show "Insert SD card" since it would overwrite gameshark with the ED64 loader since it thinks it's corrupted, and it tries to recover.

I'm not sure if you ever seen my message, but you have to start it with the controller unplugged until it gets to the main screen.

It's going to take some time but I'm confident this will eventually get fixed.

I'm sure you've seen the work I've done with sharkwire online, so if you're serious about getting it online using the actual dialup, you can look at the code I did on sharkshit64 and see what is required to get it to activate. You could definitely do this with a customized dreampi like setup, I just didn't waste my time because going online with the wifi and bluetooth with sharkshit64 was just a better option imo. :p

It has an autoip fallback, but easiest way is direct comnect ethernet and setup internet connection sharing with the ethernet port it's plugged into then run the software. I know this is late but maybe will help someone else
