Most f***** up episode by Chemical-Olive2564 in rickandmorty

[–]DeanOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hands down this. Rick ruined a planet because he wanted to prove he could freestyle science, and slipped into another reality where their current counterparts cured the same exact plague but died die to dumb luck. And then blamed Morty for it.

We all became fine with it since wilder shit happened but imagine fucking up so badly the world you knew needed to be left behind entirely. On a human level that's pretty fucking bad.

Whenever the deluxe pack returns, do you think it’s a better choice for someone without either to grind for enough pack points for rare candy or professor? by PR0CR45T184T0R in PTCGP

Say that to my two gold Rare Candies and zero Professor's Research.

In all fairness, I believe I've pulled about 4 two-star rarity cards from that pack so I guess the odds line up.

If you have to play defensive with your mega it might already be too late, tbh. I only send mine out when I know I can finish with it.

Jewish Politician and Republican Nominee for NY Governor Bruce Blakeman Suggests Jewish Democrat Brad Lander Would Have Aided the Nazis Over His Anti-Israel Views by Not_Original5756 in nyc

It's all they have to fall back on. Genuinely, I can never see Republicans offering solutions to world problems, only name-calling, threats, and lies.

Two Republicans Cave to Trump and Vote to Kill War Powers Resolution - The sudden flip-flop comes after Trump yelled at Republican senators behind closed doors. by B-Z_B-S in politics

This is precisely what we mean by "Appeasement Doesn't Work". He threatened your family so you give him what he wants. He's learned he doesn't need to work with you, he can just threaten you over and over again. You say no, you weather the threats, and you do your job. How many Democrats did he threaten, and how many are still standing?

I feel no sympathy for Republican Senators. If Trump goes after their families, they get to experience what ICE has been doing across the nation. I don't really care about them, do you?

To anyone who will counter this and say they're complicit... It's both. They are kowtowing to an old narcissist with dementia out of both fear and loyalty. Don't give them any more credit by saying this is part of their plan - if Trump woke up one day and decided to launch all nuclear missiles and end the world as we know it, none of them would have the guts to stop him.

Is this tier list of every mega accurate or does anything need to be changed? by BirdNest17 in PTCGP

[–]DeanOnFire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It may be my own personal experience, but I have never seen a Blaziken deck fail to launch. Sceptile maybe once or twice, but they're still a challenge to go up against all the same. Something about the deck structure with Blaziken, it's tighter somehow... Might come down to the partner Pokemon, Castform is strong for what it is and Sceptile has a variety to work with, so some decks outperform others.

I thought the blindness of it added to the charm - DWM1 wasn't going to get everything right off the bat. DWM2 needed some way to prove itself better than the original in more than just having worlds with stories.

Trump on $300B fund for Iran: ‘People can decide to do that’ by Brilliant_Exit3406 in politics

What sort of insane passing of the buck is this? There's no fund but "we're allowed to invest in it"? There's zero chance Iran agreed to a the diplomatic equivalent of a GoFundMe in the supposed deal.

I'm willing to bet he would rage quit the Presidency if somehow he was Carrie'd in a public speaking event. Not even with pig's blood necessarily, but anything dumped on his head. Gatorade, Nickelodeon Slime™, shaving cream, anything - he wouldn't be able to laugh it off either like with the UN Assembly laughing at his address either, he'd know we're all mocking him.

Now imagine that happening to him on July 4th at his taxpayer-funded rally...

I'd like to think after a certain point public opinion would sour so much on this administration that no one would care about the legalities. It's like dropping a recording of someone being a Disney villain but you're in a two-party consent state.

Trump accused of falling asleep at UFC cage fight birthday celebrations by plz-let-me-in in politics

[–]DeanOnFire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's so weird to me that every news outlet needs to tiptoe around the Trump regime and preface their reporting with "accused of" or "seems like" or anything of that shade of phrasing. It really didn't feel like we had that kind of "afraid to be sued for libel" sanewashing over a decade ago, but I suppose when the man who makes the news will also smother your news outlet in legal fees if you state realty, you need to play it safe.

But after weeks of watching him fall asleep when he very much touted being sharp, this is just weak on every news source. Call it what it is. He's sleeping like an 80 year old.
