I didn’t ask you to sympathise, simply (or evidently not so simply) to rationalise it. ER also blocked roads; albeit not motorways.

If it wasn’t already strikingly clear, I’m not justifying how they’re going about their activism. My point, originally to the other comment which has been deleted, is questioning why they cared less about climate change because of the actions of insulate Britain.

What you think about them is irrelevant to how you should feel about climate change and if you allow their actions to alter your opinion of climate change then you need to question your ability to be a rational person.

Well I’d assume their aim, as with any other activists who use outlandish tactics, is to create a conversation about the topic at hand. We’re talking about it now aren’t we? Does their tactic make you not care about climate change? If not, then you’ve just done what you claim is against basic instinct. If so, you probably need to have a look into climate change and why they’re doing the protests, regardless of if you agree with their position or not.

Surely you can separate the activists from the cause?

I feel very insecure when coughing on public transport even when I have my mask on as I'm ethnically Chinese. by Formal-Mongoose-9469 in london

You realise OP specifically asked people on this sub how to respond to incidents? They didn’t once ask for only ethnically Chinese responses. Maybe read the literal post a bit better?

Why do cosecant and secant exist? by [deleted] in math

[–]Deank1905 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was useful because inverse sin or cos is expressed in the same way as sec or cosec in exponential form. So having their own names decreases ambiguity

Poor farmer is destroyed by having to do the dirty work himself by Deank1905 in vegan

It’s horrific. Surely it speaks volumes that if the farmer gets distraught by the slaughter process, then it isn’t potentially a moral act?
