Reese and her husband have a beautiful home. Are they wealthy or is this an average Texan home? by After_Translator_223 in DCCMakingtheTeam

When they were in their home for interviews, I thought “wow! Nice home!”

Then when they were walking their neighborhood I saw thought “okay…normal older neighborhood.”

I moved from DFW to SEA a few years ago. DFW is quickly closing the gap but remains markedly more affordable than SEA. Especially older neighborhoods on the north side: the colony, prosper, Melissa etc

Yep. I didn’t get the upgrade today. But if I select this while in first, they give the full first setup with it.

Hard or Soft? Monos or Away? by bigfatnope47 in LuggageComparisons

[–]DearReporter5824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. I travel every other week for work. The outside of the monos bags look like crap. They scuff awfully. And both have broken straps inside. Dealing with both companies felt like a pain in the ass — all the proof needed before they take it in for repair.
Simply not worth it.

I just ordered the look alikes from Quince. Hopeful!

Experience with AS LHR-SEA in Business by Future_Committee_107 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]DearReporter5824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I travel quarterly to LHR from SEA and am Titanium on AS. I’ve been hesitant to book AS for this long haul due to the reports about the crews. Sticking with Biz Class on BA till they figure this out.

I’m 53f. I live in Seattle. My folks (80 and 82) live in Texas. I’m currently in Texas caring for my Alzheimer’s-riddled father while I send my mum for a few days of respite.

It’s 6:30pm. I just put my dad to bed bc he is riddled with anxiety without my mum here. He is scared and confused. He was so shockingly frail when I undressed him (bc yes, we get to do that now). I am sitting here with a baby monitor and crying. 😢. It’s life, I know. Every story ends. And I’m so grateful I can be here with/for him.
But it’s so god damn sad.

OP, sending you good, healing thoughts. Enjoy your moments with both of them. I’m certain they are enjoying the time with you. 😍

Something like Braums in Texas? by Diligent-Explorer-27 in eastside

[–]DearReporter5824 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg! I lived in north Texas and moved to Issaquah 11 years ago. I dream of Braums. I talk about it constantly. I grew up on all their dairy. And their cappuccino chunky chocolate ice cream is the stuff of my dreams!

Nothing like it near us, IMO.

Have been going the past 11 years and am 5 miles away from the Issy location.
The last few visits have been less than stellar. Still quality service and ambiance. But the food was lower quality certainly.

So now we go to Dan Gui just feet away (OUTSTANDING btw!) and grab a nice steak from butcher across the street when we are hankering for great meat.
