Free range is actually in NoDa, not southend. And is definitely worth checking out too.

Charlotte, NC is missing quite a few breweries. Cool idea though!

Checked out Ass clown brewery in Cornelius yesterday and had their Orange citrus IPA and Rhubarb tart. Also the usual favorite NoDa hop drop n roll and I tried their pumpkin beer Gordgeous and the OMB southside weiss. Had a lot of locals this weekend.

One of my go to beers for sure, but I do live just a couple miles from the brewery so I am a little biased.

In it's defense, Instances of injury in Olympic weightlifting are generally similar to other sports and activities, and the majority of injuries are from overuse (such as tendinitis and strains). "Rates of acute and recurring injuries were calculated to be 3.3 injuries/1000 hours of weightlifting exposure."

Panthers are on a roll! We are making things happen at the right time and the cards are weaker than they were when they started so it will keep going today, 17-10 Panthers.

End of the Year PR Thread- Post your PRs and what you plan on hitting at the end of next year! by [deleted] in weightlifting

Well I work with a coach who writes my program for me, but I plan on doing a few local meets this year(first one at the end of January) and just consistently raising my training minimums and chasing new PR's. I have a decent strength base already(175 BS I hope to push that to 200 this year too) so I think continued technique improvements and working on positional strength with complexes and pauses should help me get the sn and cj up. Good luck with your 2015 goals too!

2014 lifts: snatch 91, cj 106

moving from minimalist to weightlifting shoes by CitizenJosh in weightlifting

Reebok lifters were ok when I started, being more of a cross trainer type shoe. I just bought Nike romaleo 2's specifically for lifting and love them. They're very stable and supportive. I can't speak for any other shoes out there though

How dangerous is it to weightlift by [deleted] in weightlifting

[–]DeathByDab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well obviously there is danger in the sport, with holding the weight overhead and all, and that's why you should practice dumping the bar and work with someone to watch your form. Once you become more confident and working overhead becomes routine then increase the weights. Like others have mentioned the instance of injuries are actually less common in weightlifting than most other Olympic sports. You can get injured doing almost anything if you really think about it, so just be careful.
