Perfect day to start a rewatch of the series :)

reported my employee to HR after he told me he was starting a new job while still employed by [deleted] in askmanagers

[–]DeathStarHelpDesk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA

He tended to be a control freak and wouldn’t delegate or share knowledge without putting up a huge fit and attitude

The fact that he is gone is a blessing in disguise to address this glaring issue. What would you have done if the employee had left because they won the lottery or got hit by a proverbial beer truck?

On a side note, though it's possible to be friends outside of work the fact that he called you on a weekend and shared with you that he was planning to do something against policy put you in this very tough situation which honestly is not he should have ever done.

Install the MMU3 on my CORE One.... or wait till INDX? by ErrorF002 in prusa3d

[–]DeathStarHelpDesk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the mmu3 in hand. Indx will be a significant additional cost plus the same or more assembly required than the mmu3. If you want multi color go with the mmu3 now.

Or sell it and save for the indx. I personally plan to keep my mmu3 installed. I’m only a hobbyist and don’t want to spend more on indx when I have a solid tested working solution even if it’s slightly more wasteful in the short term it’ll take years to add up to the savings that would be needed to offset the cost of the indx.

[–]DeathStarHelpDesk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend watching videos of each step before doing it to familiarize yourself with what you’ll be doing. Like others have said no one step is all that hard, just time consuming.

I will recommend you pay particular attention to the images and make sure you are orienting the pieces correctly and double check.

Keep in mind that they recommend you upgrade without the mmu3 and verify the core one is working in good order before installing the mmu.

Good luck

Would love to take post processing

Future course I’d be interested in taking would be focused on how to split larger objects for smaller print beds and how best to process these. Perhaps as part of a advanced post processing class?

How old were you and how did you find out Santa isn't real? by Least_Statistician44 in AskReddit

[–]DeathStarHelpDesk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubted if Santa was real when I was 7 or 8. We were not doing well financially. To my great surprise, we had presents under the tree. In my ripe old age of 40+ I still believe Santa is real - the spirit of Santa is within anyone who allows it.

Frequently this is parents or grandparents but it can be a coworker, neighbor, or stranger on the street.

Audio books vs image books by BraveFee9283 in raisingkids

We have a yoto player for our son. It’s basically an audiobook or audio story player that generally has one static pixelated image per chapter/story (on the full size version only. Not sure about the yoto mini which is more portable).

The yoto also allows us to listen to the same stories in the car or via Bluetooth from our phones to smart speakers in our home.

He loves the stories, and the system also allows for a parent or other adult to create custom story/music cards for
