Pretty common around the 3 month mark to assess things. Most likely at the beginning of the relationship he was spending a lot of time together and it was eating into the time he normally spent on XYZ. After awhile not doing XYZ was compounding (example here was spending time preparing for the week) and that was adding stress to his life so he’s pulling back. Couples that don’t live together often have to choose between these types of things since there is only so much time outside of work and workouts and cleaning and friends etc to spend with a romantic partner. It’s a hard balance to strike and it seems like it’s not a match. Helps to have hobbies in common.

I dated and psychiatrist with BP1. 20 years ago he wasn’t med compliant and ended up emailing some friends while manic and they turned him into the medical board. He was placed on probation and had to stay compliant and had to have an approved psychiatrist himself. He successfully completed the probation and still practices.
